I love my canine companion Sharky who my partner and I rescued from Mississippi 2 years ago. I lived with, and co-house sat multiple dogs at a time when I lived in Boston, Ma. I love to take dogs on walks, and nature hikes in the local areas of S. Berkshire County. I’m familiar with the area as I grew up in Sheffield, and have returned to the area after living in Boston for nearly 11 years. I’m a local artist, and student of design, filling the rest of my time with nature walks/hikes alongside my partner and pup.

I’ve known James for 5 years and was living with them when they adopted their rescue dog Sharky. What I can tell you is you won’t find someone who cares as sincerely about the quality of care your dog receives and about making sure they get the details right. Sharky is such a respectful and sweet doggo with the kindest temperament, and James has (with their partner) cultivated a life where Sharky thrives. James is a good and kind human who genuinely loves dogs and their contentious nature means that your dog is in great care with James.

To reiterate and keep in mind, I do walking, visits and in home care. I will always respect any guidelines or information given to me upon inquiry or meeting about the care of your dog. I have experienced various forms of dog behavior in my time helping dog-sit, and can be trusted with caring in an empathetic manner for all walks of dog. Any important behavioral/health information is imperative in providing safe and fun care for your pup. I’m a loving dog owner, and have experience training my own dog, but I am not a licensed dog trainer or behavior specialist, so this must be kept in mind as well. The day to day for me and my own dog usually involves, walk, play, treats, and ensuring that water and food are fresh. Lots and lots of pets and positive affirmation ! I love to take photos on hikes when sharing my time in nature alongside my canine companion.

I’ve mentioned before that I love working with all dogs, but it’s really helpful to know of any behaviors and specifics that come to mind within a dogs routine. If there are I always work within those boundaries and find that communication on these aspects is key to successful care! :)
A typical day
I like to take my dog meet up with others at Jug End reservation for walks. I have other spots as well in the Southern Berkshire area as well that I enjoy walking/ hiking, but I’m this seems to be accessible for most dogs. A good amount of time playing, petting and talking with dogs always seems to go a long way with gaining trust and getting to know a dogs personality.

Availability
I have a relatively busy schedule (school, design work), but am very flexible for clients and their canine companions to suite their weekly/ daily needs. Making dog walking a part of my work and life is a conscious choice to do what I love, so my schedule really depends on how many clients I have per week.
