Pet care experience
In addition to 13 years of owning a dog, I've been a dog sitter for friends and family on countless occasions. I'm self employed working from home and am able to take frequent breaks during the day. My brother is a vet technician, and I live less than a mile from the clinic. I've watched dogs with many special conditions like severe separation anxiety and creatively tricking them into taking their medicine. I'm available to help, even on short notice!

Once again James was amazing. Our dogs were excited to see us, but you could tell that they had grown accustomed to the love and attention that James gave them. By far the best dog sitter we've ever had.

I have known James Rogers for over ten years. I think he is exceptionally well qualified to be a pet sitter for several reasons. He loves dogs and Is very good at working with dogs. He grew up with dogs, interacts with dogs owned by family or friends, and is called upon to care for dogs of friends on travel. In addition, he is highly dependable. A recent example is the work he does for Capital Caring Thrift Store. When he is called upon to do a pick-up, he is always on time and ready to go. No preferences on breed, all dogs are welcome. I've owned and watched larger dogs like german shepards and saint bernards, so walking them won't be a problem.
A typical day
There is a nature trail right behind my house, so we will not be walking along a street most of the time. I'd be happy to take your dog to the dog park a few blocks away as well. We can play fetch or tug of war if your dog is extra playful.
