I've been taking care of pets since I was a child. I've grown up around dogs and cats, and understand that each individual animal is unique. I am capable of dealing with just about any and all kinds of aspects of animal care. I own and have read several books on the subject, and am the happy owner of a 9-year old Australian Shepherd. I've personally cared for small dogs, big dogs, young dogs, and old dogs, and understand the differences in care each kind of dog will require. I am also capable of caring for cats and fish. I know how to train dogs from firsthand experience to leash well, do tricks, etc. I also have local vets and Petsmart on speed dial.
