Pet care experience
Having cared for three dogs throughout my childhood and adolescence, I have earned an immense amount of knowledge for how to care for puppies, adults, and senior dogs. I grew up with three Brittany spaniels, so I have a love for high energy bird dogs, but love them in all shapes and sizes. I have an 11 month old German shorthaired pointer that I’ve raised since he was 9 weeks old, so the puppy walk and training exercises are fresh in my memory in case that is something you are still working on with your pup. I practice patience and understanding with positive reinforcement; never negative reinforcement. We typically walk 3-4 times per day for an average of 3-4 miles daily. Friends have relied on me to stay with their dogs, take them out for walks, feed them, and entertain with enrichment activities. I've always treated my fur friends as family and I think that makes all of the difference in a pup’s life. Thanks for reading and I hope to meet your furry one soon!

James is patient and caring to everyone (both dogs and humans). He’s the person I trust to watch after my dog any time I’m going out of town. He’s excellent with communication and great about sending detailed updates (and just cute pictures to assure you your pup is having a good time!). He’s a great dog dad to Theo (a German shorthaired pointer) and has raised him to play well with others. He’s responsible, attentive, and you can catch him at the dog park most days. Can not recommend him enough if you need someone trustworthy and passionate about caring for your pets !

I cannot say enough great things about James and his ability to care for your pet. I have a Labrador Retriever that he's personally watched while I've been on vacation, and she probably didn't want to leave him when I got home! He's attentive, sweet, and always up for a walk or a game of fetch. If you want to be sure that your pup is given an overabundance of love and affection, let James help you. I work remotely during the day time, but my schedule is flexible enough to allow for walks in the morning hours, lunch time, and later in the evening. I live in the Short North/downtown area close to nearby parks.
