I've had or have cared for pets most of my life. I like dogs because of their loyalty and love for people, and I find most dogs are fun to be around. I've always valued the company of dogs, whether they need a lot of attention or just a little. I love to take dogs for walks since I know they enjoy it. I understand that each dog may have its own unique personality, but I've found that one thing that all dogs seem to have in common is that they get excited for walks! Going for a walk has been the easiest way for me to immediately form a bond with the dogs and when them over when they're in my care. I have experience caring for senior dogs, handicapped dogs, and puppies who are not yet housebroken. I have sat dogs that could no longer walk - due to issues such as arthritis - and would carry the dog on walks if the dog was small enough. I recently had the experience of sitting a Chihuahua that was blind due to eye issues related to being over 14 years old, and that sitting will always be one of my favorite pet sitting memories. I also grew up with cats - many which I raised from the day they were born - so I also have vast experience in caring for cats and kittens, and have a great love for them as I do all animals. Although many of the dogs I sit have been raised around cats and some even live in a household that has cats, I keep dogs completely separated from the cats & kittens I care for, just as a safety precaution. So you can rest assured that your pet will always be safe and secure while in my care. Other animals I've owned and cared for: lizards, snakes, mice, tarantulas, scorpions, turtles, frogs, fish. I can accept any of these, as well as ferrets, hamsters, rabbits, birds, etc. Simply select "cat" and then "other" and input the type of animal you have - and you will be charged the cat rate. Your pet will always be in good hands while in my care. I can accommodate any special needs or instructions - including administering any required medications. I provide top-notch care to each and every pet I set. Your pet will be very comfortable and happy while in my care. I am very safety conscious and do all I can to keep the pets safe, healthy, and happy at all times. I am usually reachable around the clock, so feel free to contact me on Rover at any time. My schedule is open on the days on the calendar that I'm showing as available. I am a full-time pet sitter, so I can always be around to give your pet the great care and attention that it needs and enjoys. I always keep close watch over the pets in my care. I've found that most of the pets want to be right by my side and whenever I get up - they get up. During walks, I always keep the dog on leash for safety reasons. As far as pets getting along, I haven't had any issues. I always return pets healthy and happy. I bond with pets pretty quickly and they usually like to stick by my side and follow me around, which makes it easy to keep an eye on them.
