I love animals more than anything. I love how honest , loyal and pure they are. Dogs give so much love , show me how to be more patient ( how they wait for food or having to sit for treats ) and more forgiving. I am at home and my husband is retired from the military. Being with animals is a very valuable time for me. I do not like crates! Important to me ( and I hope to everyone ) is to put myself always into the dogs situation ! How would I feel? Would I want to be crated even if it’s for 10 minutes? If I don’t want that then the dog doesn’t want it either ! It is important that the dog feels as free as possible, nothing should be forced. They are already so dependent ,so we have to give them the feeling that they are free ! If the dog wants to play we will play , if not then we won’t. Not everything needs to be constantly trained or controlled by us ! When you board your dogs here , we will have a time full of love and fun . We will go on walks and have playtime like “catch the weasel” or tag . We will eat good treats and just be happy ! I think that animals like to be physically active and to spend time outdoors: different smells , exiting new places, feeling the wind in their fur when they run! No one would like to be kept in the same place forever ! When I have anxious dogs boarded I will try to nurture their confidence. If there is confidence there is less anxiety but confidence comes only with being treated well and being seen as worthy , with love and respect , not with crates or isolation! I live in a calm environment. No loud music or Tv. I don’t have kids in the house. For house visits / Drop ins , I will make sure to come by until late at night so the dog isn’t alone for too long. I have one small dog , his name is Dewey ! Dewey is ok with anyone! Dewey just loves life in general :) I am going to send you many videos and photos of your dog. I want you to know that your dog is ok and treated with love, that’s why I try to be transparent and keep constant contact with you when you are away. If you have special feeding or medication needs I can accommodate as well. Short notice care is available on a case by case basis.
