Pet care experience
I recently moved to Lafayette and am currently between jobs as a teacher. I grew up with both dogs and cats and am a lover of all animals and am willing to care for pretty much any pet. When I tried Rover myself, I loved how easy it is to use so I decided to become a sitter. I am usually available any day of the week to provide food, water, bathroom breaks, and exercise. I love to play with them and let my own dog join in with the pups so they get a lot of exercise. I have a great dane/lab mix and have experience with many breeds including chihuahuas, german shepards, herding breeds, high energy breeds, and even a feisty japanese spitz. My dog Duke is easy going, a total love bug, and really enjoys playing with other dogs so I hope he and your pup can be best friends!

REALLY Great! so much space!
Jaklyn was great with our Shepherd, Winter. She watched her for us while we went to BottleRock and sent video of what she was up to. She fed her and Winter was very happy when we returned. Jaklyn is just the sort of warm friendly person you feel comfortable leaving your pup with. You can tell she's a kind spirit, if you know what I mean. I would definitely call Jaklyn again for help with our pup.
About six months ago I had planned a vacation but the arrangement to board my dog fell through at the last minute and I was desperate for someone to help me. Luckily, a friend of a friend suggested Jaklyn and spoke very highly of her. She was available for the time I needed, she was willing to take care of my dog's specific medical needs (he needs eye drops and requires a special feeding routine), and she even made an effort to clean up after him when he soiled the rug out of nervousness. Despite his anxiety towards new people, he quickly bonded with Jaklyn after only a short time and was extremely excited to see her. Not only did she provide exceptional care for my dog, she kept me posted with photo updates every so often so I wouldn't worry. Since then I have used her services a few more times and Jaklyn has become a dear friend. I would recommend Jaklyn highly to anyone that needed her services and they could rest assured that their pet is in very capable and loving hands.
I've known Jaky for 5 years and during that time she has shown herself to be dependable and trustworthy. She is great with all of the animals that she is entrusted to care for and is very pleasant and agreeable to work with. I highly recommend her!
