Pet care experience
Welcome to Jake’s Pet Care! I have worked with all sizes of dogs and care for all breeds from small to large! I am passionate about the ethical treatment of animals and am able to assure you that your pet will enjoy themselves beyond measure and be left in great hands with me. I have grown up around animals my whole life and have always had a cat or dog around. I recently graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. in Animal Science with an emphasis in animal behavior. During my time in college, I held an internship at the campus goat barn and worked with non-human primates. Throughout high school, I fostered cats for a local rescue and have dealt with conditions such as URI. Currently, I work as an animal technician ensuring that the animals under my care have the highest standards of living possible. My experience with dogs ranges from small to large. I currently have a Labrador/Great Dane mix at my home who I walk and care for regularly. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or opportunities! I completed an online pet first aid course in June of 2020. I am able to verify my completion of this course upon request. Our second vacation with Jake babysitting the house and animals. Leaving things with someone you trust and your animals like makes trips a lot easier. Absolutely recommend. Book as soon as you are thinking of a trip though. He’s popular. 😀

Jake is amazing with my large and very big personality dogs and left the house very tidy when he left. I feel 100% comfortable with him watching the dogs.
Jake was our first experience with Rover. We did two pre visits prior to a week’s vacation and felt really secure our “kids” were in good hands. We have two dogs and two cats, each with unique personalities. Jake did great with all of them and kept us updated with messages and pictures. We’ve already discussed a potential re booking for another trip.

A typical day
Playing with toys, going on walks, and enjoying some pets and cuddles. I will always make sure your pets have water and will feed according to their feeding schedules!

Availability
I work a day job 7 - 3:30 and can provide overnight services throughout the week and weekends. After work my day usually consists of the gym and relaxation so I can spend lots of time with your pet.
