Pet care experience
I grew up on 10 acres of land in Idaho around horses, dogs, cats, chickens, goats, cows, and so many more animals. I have been taking care of pets since I was old enough to ride my four wheeler to my neighbors homes and created a company when I was 8 called ‘Jake’s Pet Care Services.’ I had my own horse and cared for her till the day she moved onto greener pastures. Animals always understood me more than people, and that’s why I cherish every moment with them. You can be rest-assured that your pet will be treated like family when I am with them! I work a full-time job as a financial advisor by day, but I get to make my own hours so my entire week is flexible for your pet service needs. Jake was great. He was easy to work with, and was even willing to do a few other odd jobs I needed. I will be calling him again when we leave.
Jake is kind and was so attentive to our needs and our dogs' demands. He was flexible with the house sitting arrangement and asked questions that put us at ease. While we were away, he let us know how things were going (they were going well!) and when we returned, he provided us a nice accounting of the care he provided each day. This was our first time using Rover or a house sitter. Glad we started with Jake.
Jake is very professional and attentive. He kept me informed about everything going on with my dogs while I was out of town. There was an immediate rapport during the Meet & Greet and I felt comfortable leaving my dogs in Jake's care.
I have two bigger, louder, and more aggressive pit and Aussie mixes and he has gained their trust much faster than I ever would have expected. If you want a guy who is reliable, prompt, friendly, and great with pets and instructions I definitely recommend using Jake!

A typical day
I love to first make sure that your animal is happy and healthy when I first meet them. I love to know what their personality is so that I can notice any red flags and address their needs on a case-by-case basis. If all is well and normal, then I make sure that I follow your instructions exactly and give your animal to a of love and affection and carry out my duties that you have hired me for. At the end of the service, I love to snap a pic of your pet and let you know that they are happy and comfortable when they are back where they need to be!
