Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Jake! I've always been a dog lover and can't remember a time in which I didn't have a dog in my life. My most beneficial experience I gained working for Fun Fur Pets, a relatively new local Doggy Daycare in Lacrosse WI. During my time at Fun Fur Pets I gained experiences washing, cutting nails, dispersing medication, correcting behavior, and many other beneficial tricks and methods to train and care for canines. During that time I also fostered two Service Lab Puppies, and worked to maintain required behaviors. Since moving to Rochester I have dog-sat, walked, and cared for several dogs ranging in age and health and always enjoy doing so. I do not currently own a dog, but always welcome them into my home and life.

Jake has been a wonderful help in watching my Australian cattle dog, Kenya, for the past year. I travel a lot for work and he is great about feeding her on her schedule and walking her everyday. Kenya does get scared and lonely when I leave town, so I usually ask Jake to stay the night at my house with her. He leaves my house in great condition every time. Jake is a very responsible and respectful guy and I would definitely recommend him as a pet sitter.
Jake has been so amazing with my pup Mecosta! He is a very high energy dog with special needs and he does an excellent job entertaining and playing with him. Mecosta is not an easy being but jakes nurturing and calm manor helps him act in society, especially among other beings. He ensures he is “worn out” before he returns him home safely. Jake does a wonderful job with my crazy pup, and I’m know he will do the same with your’s!
Jake has taken care of my pup several times and had always done a great job - from walks to snuggles to feedings. Highly recommend!!
As a gentle and caring man, Jake is the perfect person to take care of my furry kids. Not only does he shower them with affection, he’s also very mindful of their needs. I’m very protective of my dogs and will only leave them with a select few...Jake is one of them. I trust him so much that if anything were to happen to me, I’d want him to take care of my girls. He’s the real deal!

I am open to walking anywhere(safe locations) in Rochester but enjoy walking the Douglas Trail, Quarry Hill, and Essex Park. I also enjoy the dog parks around town, and typically play with the dogs I currently watch at those locations.
