Pet care experience
Hi! I grew up outside of a small town in Wisconsin. I had horses for nearly two decades and we always had other animals that lived both inside and outside the home. Though I don't have the open space of the country anymore, I appreciate being able to take dogs to parks so they can roam and live their best life. I work with and help people for a living, but I also love spending time and bonding with animals because it grounds and recharges me.

Jake did a super solid job taking care of our dog and cat for a couple days. It's always difficult leaving our pets in the care of someone we barely know but our dog took to Jake right away so that was a good start. We got lots of pics during the visit too, showing lots of attention given to our dog and cat who surprisingly seemed less skittish around someone new so that was cool. We would book Jake for future house sitting needs no doubt.
Jake did a fabulous job sitting for our three dogs. He even managed to make friends with our dog who is afraid of everyone!

My pets adored Jake from the minute they met him and we feel very fortunate to have him as our pet sitter. We have a German Shepherd who is very skittish with strangers but he loves Jake and snuggled up to him right away. Jake even got love from my extremely curmudgeonly cat who hates everyone. I don’t know how he does it but he is amazing! He also sent us the most adorable pictures of our pets while we were away. Thank you Jake.

There has rarely been a pet that I haven't instantly bonded with. I'll follow your direction and maintain the same standard of care you provide for your animals so that you have one less thing to worry about during your travels. I also live in a quiet neighborhood, making walks enjoyable without too much stimulation. I live alone and currently don't have any other pets in the household which means yours will have all the attention. Not only are the background checks completed with Rover, but I was Federally employed for over 10 years and now hold a medical license. Both required exhaustive background checks to be completed. So rest assured, trust and integrity means everything to me. I've decided to start Rovering as a way to pay off my student loans quicker and save money on interest. This also allows me to go out and enjoying a nice dinner or activity without feeling guilty.

Any special dietary restrictions or allergies? Medications that I'll need to be informed and trained on? What kinds of things do they like/dislike? What is their typical schedule like day to day? Any sort of training, either in the past or present, that I need to be mindful of and support? Favorite treats? How well do they get along with other animals?
A typical day
I love to stimulate animals both physically and mentally. Walking is great exercise and it gives me a chance to get out and breath some fresh air as well. There's nothing better than an animal falling asleep on you as you pet them and feeling trapped because you don't want to be disturbed.

Availability
I work two jobs have complete control over my schedule with one of them. For this reason I only offer my services Wednesday evening to Sunday evening. And with enough advanced notice, I'm able to place periodic blocks in my appointment calendar during work hours to give your pet the time and attention it deserves.
