Jaimie is fantastic. Very knowledgeable and really hit it off with our fur babies. She is dedicated, friendly and the dogs absolutely loved her. Have already scheduled her for house sitting and dog watching again. Highly recommended!!! Would give 10 stars, if we could.

Jaimie is nurturing and responsible, and will take great care of your pet! My dog is a handful, and has a really hard time with strangers. But he loved Jaimie as soon as he met her, and even more importantly, he listened to her right away! Jaimie is calm and authoritative while also being loving. Pets and people love her energy! I highly recommend Jaimie.

This is what separates me from everyone else: ask your current dog walker about their licenses, permits, and what their insurance covers. If they are unable to discuss specific amounts or coverage that should tell you what you need to know about their level of care for your pet. With me, while walking down the street, riding in my car, even inside of your own home, your four-legged friends are wholly protected. It is my personal belief that knowing what to do in an accident or emergency is more crucial than just getting exercise. That is why I have contingency plans for just about every situation with all emergency information easily accessible and incredibly organized.

Information Jaimie G. would like to know about your pet

I prefer working with dogs that have been deemed unfriendly, aggressive, fearful, intelligent, and stubborn. I prefer working with dogs that maybe don’t do well at the groomer or vet. I prefer dogs that dig holes where they are not supposed to, have separation anxiety, or chew things they shouldn’t. I have yet to meet a dog that I can’t communicate with or who doesn’t respect my boundaries.

A typical day

I arrive without sound. I silently greet the doorman, enter the appropriate code and let myself in. Virtually non-existent, I move without disturbing one particle paying close attention to see if my presence has been detected. Nothing. I can hear rhythmic breathing coming from the living room. Noiseless, smellless, and thus far invisible, I step in between snores, avoiding the usual creaky snares and groans the old wood floors make. Target spotted. Lying on the floor in the sun is a brownish clump of fur encircled upon itself one cannot see where it begins and ends. I catch the faint odor of corn chips and kibble as I lower myself to said beast in slumber. My heart beats wildly seeing how close I can get without my presence being detected. Finally, face to face, I bravely draw my leash in anticipation. Nothing yet. I get closer. Even closer and still nothing. Just as I press my nose to their cold wet nose I whisper “boo.” Slowly, one little eye opens then both, suddenly realizing someone entered unannounced! “Awoooo!” the little brown fur ball cries out in excitement and wiggles awake, spinning in slow small circles, licking incessantly. Together we work on proper exiting procedure – we’re not allowed to bolt passed people through doorways anymore because that’s not safe. We work on proper manners because we’re not supposed to pull on the leash and we wait for direction when we’re around traffic. We walk quickly at first but that’s just to get to the part of our neighborhood with the best smells. While we’re around others we focus on ourselves, making sure we are behaving to the best of our ability – we don’t pay attention to other dogs that may misbehave. We spend most of our time in a brisk walk except for when we get the zoomies and chase each other around. We get tons of praise for all the new tricks and manners we learn and the best part is we get to do this again tomorrow!

Safety is my primary concern which is why my general exercise schedule is 10am-4pm during fall/winter with extended hours during spring/summer. This means that I do a majority of brisk short walks, long walks, extended hikes, runs, and outside play during this time. Note: for repeat clients I am happy to tailor a schedule to fit your needs outside of these hours. Having somewhat of a set schedule with a familiar environment yields the best results. That’s why I prefer coming to your pet and building trust in a setting that’s neutral and comfortable for them.
