Pet care experience
Please check out my entire biography before shooting me a message to ensure I will be a great fit for your family and your pet! Though, I’ve never met a pet I haven’t liked :) I try to volunteer at the animal shelter in State College 2-3x a week for 3 years which means I walk dogs of all ages and breeds as well as take care of many types of cats (including FIV+ cats!). I have two bulldogs, meaning I also know how to get lazy, stubborn and strong dogs to cooperate! I also have three cats and two guinea pigs, meaning I am well-versed on how to care for animals other than dogs. Furthermore, I am studying Animal Behavior at Penn State main campus, which means you may even come home to a pet who knows some more tricks! I am available whenever you need me! I am very easy going and laid back to try to take the stress off of you! Since I am a student, I am taking courses, but more often than not I am available and if your times are tentative that is even better. I am willing to try to work around classes as much as possible! I am well aware that some dogs/pets require more care than others; for example, I have owned two bulldogs, so I am very understanding of how to provide care for the more “high-maintenance” dogs such as cleaning wrinkles and giving eye drops when needed! I have had to administer fluids to my guinea pigs before when they were sick, which was quite challenging, so I like to believe it I was able to accomplish that task I can do anything you ask me to! I also have experience cutting cat nails and rodent nails. I do not discriminate on size, breed, etc. I love pets of all kind and am more than willing to help out!

We had an extremely positive experience with Jaime! From the first connection/message to her leaving our home from staying with our cat. Jaime is super thorough as a pet sitter and she did not disappoint - in fact, she exceeded expectations! She communicates effectively and consistently provides updates with pictures! We felt at ease with Jaime from the moment we met her. We hope to continue the partnership with her for future pet sitter needs!!
Jaime was wonderful! She has a lot of bully breed experience and my mastiff absolutely adores her. The pictures and updates were fantastic. I would highly recommend her!
Jaime was amazing! She took the time to have a meet-and-greet with our pups and asked all the necessary questions to be sure our two dogs were cared for while we were away. She sent us lots of pics and we really appreciated that! We will definitely reach out to Jaime next time we need an in-home sitter. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a loving, reliable person to take care of their pet while away!!

When staying in your home, I will leave it exactly how you left it - if not cleaner! I always wipe down any counters / tables I have used, I will take off the bed sheets and wash them, and I will never do anything without your consent! I do often like to bring a friend with me for overnight stays for safety, and if the friend is able to come, my friend is more than qualified as they have come with me to multiple animal gigs in the past and I have trained them on what to do / what not to do! However, I would be the main caretaker for the pets, they would just be to keep me company and make sure I am safe in a new home. The pets are always the first priority regardless of where I am!

I would like to know if your dog gets nervous around new people, and how your dog is around other dogs incase we were to go on group walks! Furthermore, discussing walks - I want a little background on how they normally act on walks. Do they pull? Do they get excited easy? I am able to administer medicine and clean wrinkles/etc as well. I would also appreciate knowing if your dog is a biter/nibbler; no worries, we have all been there, I don’t mind! It’s just good to have a heads up.
A typical day
I tend to go on 1-3 mile walks a day - I typically do backroad walks, around campus or hikes. Most importantly - if it’s okay with you - and probably a dog’s favorite part, after the walk we will stop for (human) coffee and a puppy latte! If you’re not comfortable with me taking the dog for a walk, I would love to just play with your dog and try my best to tire the dog out! (The puppy latte car ride offer is still up for grabs in this situation, too!) I take the dog with me almost everywhere I go when I am staying with them or they are staying with me, if it’s alright with the owner.

Availability
Although I am an undergraduate student, don’t let that deter you from reaching out to me - I will find any possible way to make time for your fur baby in between my classes! I love hanging out/ being around pets, especially on weekdays, as it takes some stress away from my coursework. I am willing to work around my class schedule as much as possible as long as you are!
