I have been inactive on Rover for the last year because I moved cross country and gave birth to my first child! I'm now back at it and available during the days with a fairly flexible schedule. I grew up with terriers and spaniels but have fostered and rescued dogs of all sizes and breeds throughout the last ten years including my own dog, a shiba inu. Einstein has been with me for 9 years, since he was a puppy, and he and I have personally inspired five other families to adopt shiba inus! I'm responsible, respectful, clean, reliable, and kind. I'm a genuine animal lover and love meeting new animals, I can also make friends with anyone so I like meeting their owners too! I'm a kindergarten teacher and I find that dogs and kids often have a lot of the same wants and needs; they need to run around and burn energy, they want a lot of attention and love, and they want a lot of snacks! But seriously, if I can handle little humans, you know I can handle dogs! :)

Jaime is great. She sent me photos of Lucky while I was gone and Lucky was returned in good spirits and perfect health. And what is more, Jaime's dog Einstein got along famously with Lucky. I will definitely use her again.
Jaime is great with our dogs, Roger and Puddles. She's very kind and caring, and really shows her affection for dogs and animals in her genuine, friendly attitude. We love her as our dog sitter and hope to never need to use anyone else!
I've known Jaime for more than ten years now & she has doggy sat for two of our dogs & two cats. She is so sweet, loving, & gentle with our pets, they know her name & get excited when she comes to our home. It's a great comfort to know they are happy & safe with Jaime! I like to know what your dog's personality is like both with people and with other dogs, how much exercise does he need, and if he has any medications I will need to give him. I have personally owned shiba inus, jindos and welsh corgis so I'm a bit biased towards those breeds- how can anyone resist that fuzzy neck fat?!- I've also rescued several shibas and jindos (it's like they know to look for me when they're lost), but I've worked with huskies, Australian shepherds, sheep dogs, poms, pugs, pit bulls, terriers, labs, and others.
A typical day
Depending on how much exercise your dog needs and how much energy he has, I like to do short hikes or just take a mellow stroll around the neighborhood. I'm great at dog hugs and belly rubs, just ask "my son" Einstein. If you need me to care for your dog at my apartment, I live in a gated apartment building with a closed in courtyard where I can toss the ball for your dog and he can run around without fear of getting loose or running into the street. Should your dog spend the day at our house, Einstein is also very mellow as he is getting older and he gets along fine with other dogs.
