Pet care experience
Growing up, we always had two dogs, a German shepherd mix and a Yorkie mix. I was responsible for caring, playing, and cleaning up for them. I've dogsit for many neighbors and petsit on Rover since 2021. I've loved getting to know each animal's quirks and personalities. I have two cats of my own who are sweet, sassy, and boss me around. I've fostered a pregnant mama cat and found homes for her and all 5 of her kittens. I'd love to petsit for any pets!

Jaida was nothing short of amazing! She ensured that our diabetic cat took his pill each day, trying multiple techniques and ultimately winning him over. She sent pictures and notes with every check-in, which was very appreciated and assured us our cats were safe and happy. Our vacation was stress-free because we had confidence that Jaida would be around. Thank you, Jaida!
Jaida was patient and flexible as our reservation changed due to a variety of circumstances which required an extension of her time house/pet sitting for us. She updated us on how our dogs were doing throughout her stay and we felt secure knowing she was watching our home. We would definitely hire her again to house/pet sit.
Jaida took such great care of our Aussie dog while we were on vacation. We really appreciated her always sending us updates and adorable photos of all of their adventures. We’ll definitely be booking her again to look after our pup.

I am skilled at reading an animal's body language and earning their trust. I would make sure to keep dogs on a leash any time we go outdoors. I'm also very conscious of escape artist attempts, so I never open doors to the outside without blocking the way with my body.

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors that I can account for. I love learning about any fun quirks or idiosyncrasies your pet might have to help me get to know them. (For example, my cat Wasabi is obsessed with shadows and loves to chase shadow puppets on the walls.)
A typical day
I love to take dogs on walks and play with them. To provide mental stimulation, we can practice tricks together and maybe learn some new ones too! (I'm working on teaching my cat to high five, but she's more stubborn than the dogs I've taught tricks to in the past.)

Availability
I'm a teacher, so I would be available to house sit over the weekends and I'm available on weekdays after 4 pm. I'd also be available over school holidays that line up with Blue Valley's breaks.
