Hi my name is Jahry and I am looking to fill my life with more happiness by way of Rover.com! My relationship with dogs developed at the age of 5 with exposure to my family members' dogs; I helped care for them as puppies and watched them evolve into loving family members. I frequently interact with dogs as most of my neighbors are dog owners and I feel happy after each interaction/doggy play date! I have a dog of my own too. Her name is Lola. She does very well with docile and playful dogs of both sexes. My family consists of my husband and 9 year old child. My 9 year old is very respectful of our doggy visitors and allows them to sleep in bed with him if they choose. :) Our visitors who are not fond of little children like my son very much. I also enjoy baking dog treats and don't mind treating your dog to a nice bath! I will be caring for your dog on my own and like my own. The qualities my dog likes the most about me: rubs and healthy home cooked (dog-friendly) meals; I believe dogs need healthy foods high in antioxidants just as much as humans and try to provide that as often as possible for my pup. Please let me know if your dog can indulge a bit if not, that's completely okay as well! My favorite pastime is visiting nearby parks and walking alongside the beach/lake with my pup. In my pictures you can see the parks I visit which would be the ones your dog visits as well! ***Please note, trips are not taken everyday. It is based on the weather forecast, how long your dog is staying with me and how many helping hands I have. At the moment, paying an extra fee for everyday park trips is not an option. I own a dog-friendly car which is great for getting to the park and practice safety/common sense at all times. My availability is open; most times work for me. For overnights, I may be gone during the day for 2-3 hours at a time so your dog must be okay with being in a crate during that time. They will be allowed out before I leave and immediately upon arrival. I am a stay at home mom with free time after 8 am. ***HIGH ENERGY/WORKING DOGS: I am no longer accepting high energy dogs or working breeds due to space limitations. ***HOUSE SITTING: For this service, I am not able to sleep over but I can drop in a few times a day to walk and feed your dog as well as check on things. ***NIGHT BOARDING INQUIRIES: Crate trained dogs only who presently use their crates to sleep in and hang out daily. If your pup barks when left alone, I am not a good fit since I do step out throughout the day to run errands and of course, the neighbors. :) ***CHECK IN/OUT: An exact drop-off/pick up time must be established prior to booking. If your pup is staying until night time on the day he/she is scheduled to check out, this extra time will count as a day of care (please see dog daycare price). Early morning drop-offs are also subject to an extra fee. ***For early morning drop off, a prorated doggy daycare fee will apply. Please be timely with your scheduled pick up, drop off and meet and greet times. :) I am known to be a punctual person who takes great pride in practicing safety measures. I also have lots of experience with birds owning 4 of my own throughout my life. My cockatiel Paulie, whom I loved dearly, lived to be 14 years old. I hope to hear from you soon. :) Jahry FAQ: Will my dog be in a crate for long periods of time? -My dogs are crated when I need to step out briefly for grocery and school drop off/pick up. This is to prevent any accidents/injuries; dogs are often anxious when left alone in unfamiliar places which can lead to potentially dangerous behaviors. They are also crated at night and during car rides for safety reasons.
