DO NOT HIRE THIS SITTER We were forced to pick someone last minute, and unfortunately chose not to heed the warning of the other negative review. Here is a brief summary of what occurred during our 2 week vacation and what we discovered when returning: 1) on day 2 or 3, she locked herself out by losing our key. We were able to get her another key by having her meet a friend, but our dog was left for over 12 hours and had defecated in her kennel by this point. 2) the soiled kennel was not cleaned properly. We had to throw away pillows and blankets that were caked in dried feces. Our dog was placed back into the soiled kennel on multiple occasions throughout the remainder of our vacation. 3) All of the toilets and showers backed up requiring an emergency visit from a plumber, who informed our landlord that some sort of sanitary products were flushed down the toilet. The sitter claimed her or her partner dont use tampons but there were wrappers in both bathrooms. We have never had an issue with the plumbing before this incident, and have NEVER flushed anything but TP. 4) The hardwood floors in the master bedroom are irreparably warped, possibly from the shower backing up, or possibly from using too much mop water to clean the aforementioned feces. If our landlord notices, this could cost us $1000s due to a forfeited deposit. There is also some floor damage in the guest room, caused by god knows what, and behind the guest bath toilet. 5) At least 2 people not previously discussed were brought into our home, including a child. We dont need that liability. We only agreed to allow her partner to come by, but that grace was taken advantage of. 6) Upon our return, the house absolutely reeked of weed. I honestly dont care if a dog sitter smokes...I went to college once... but if the place smells like a frat house it defeats the purpose of smoking outside. 7) The floors were absolutely covered in dust, leaves, dog hair, and in the master bath straight up mud. The soles of our feet turned black just walking around. We have robot vacuums for God's sake, there's no excuse. 8) dishes left in the sink and stove top, and a glass left under the guest bed. I killed probably 6 house flies in the kitchen. 9) Enormous pile of mildewy towels in the laundry room. 10) We left excruciatingly detailed written instructions that were just simply not adhered to. Dogs need routine, especially an aging, anxiety prone Great Dane. It would have been nice to get regular updates and photos, but instead we found ourselves constantly checking the cameras from a different continent to make sure things were going smoothly. Imagine if there weren't any cameras!! The absurdly low price she was charging should have been a red flag...you get what you pay for. The sad thing is, we would've have been happy to tip several hundred dollars, but there was just a rock bottom level of effort applied. Some people are their own worst enemy.

She arrived 5 hours late for pet sitting. By the time she arrived, my dog had been inside for 7 hours. When I kept inquiring about an eta for her arrival , since I was out of town, she told me she was waiting on her ride and was going to take an Uber to my house. However, when she arrived, it wasn’t by Uber and the driver of the car entered, and remained inside my home with her. I inquired who the other person was that was inside my house to which she replied her girlfriend. Then she asked me if her girlfriend could stay overnight with her at my house to which I replied no. I received one picture of my dog the entire time she was there and her communication was inconsistently horrible. I even had to have one of my friends go over and check my house and dog because after she told me the girlfriend was leaving my house, the girlfriend just pulled her car out the back driveway and moved her car to the front of my house. This entire experience with her was horrible. When I asked her to leave my home, she said her girlfriend was her ride and she’d leave when she could. I had to issue her a trespass warning and threaten to get police involved for her to leave my home. Then when she left, she left my dog outside in the backyard despite knowing he was an inside dog. Upon cutting my trip short and coming back home early, my dog’s water was dirty and appeared to be unchanged since I left. Furthermore, after reviewing my cameras, my dog was let outside less than 5 times in 2 days. This pet sitter is spiteful, immature and unprofessional. I will never use her again. Beware of her as she didn’t care about my dog nor provide proper pet sitting services.
