Home is where the dog is

Pet care experience

I have grown up with animals around me all the time. I can't remember a part of my childhood where I didn't have a pet, my love and passion for animals took me to volunteering at shelters and that experience took me to my current job, veterinary assisting. Working with animals is a pleasure for me, and not only have I learned to care for them physically but emotionally as well. Whether your furry friend is a puppy or an old pal with special needs, rest assured they are in good hands. If your baby takes oral medications, injections, fluids, special diet, etc. i am experienced in this field and feel comfortable administering medications to your furry baby. The first and most important rule in my house is: we must all get along! This means your dog must be friendly and have no aggression towards other animals or people. My apartment is small and cozy and that is why for now the best fit for both your dog and I would be small dogs! And they would also have a happy and friendly friend to play with. The only other animal in my house is a very loving 6lb yorkie who is healthy and up to date on vaccinations. I would prefer to care for healthy dogs who are up to date on all vaccinations only because a healthy dog is a happy dog and it makes their stay easier for them and for us too.

Jael was wonderful with my dog. She sent me pictures and messages before and after the walk.

Jael watched my dog on Mother's Day and I was very pleased with her. She was very nurturing and sweet. I would definitely use her again!

Jael was very responsive and responsible when it came to my little yorkie Coco. She has a true love of animals and has a very kind, calming way of dealing with them. I would highly recommend!

Information Jael M. would like to know about your pet

As always, a meet and greet with owners is the best way to find out how I can make your baby's stay as comfortable as possible, but some of the main things I would like to know are: How long have you and your dog been together? Is your dog friendly? Do they have aggression in any sort of manner? Is your dog trained to go outside? Do they go on pads in the house? Is your dog up to date on vaccinations? When was the last time they visited the vets office? Is your dog on any medications? Does your dog have any sort of separation anxiety? Is your dog talkative? (Ex. Barking when alone) Does your dog have the tendency to chew on/ or eat things they're not supposed to? (Ex. Chewing sofas, legs of table, swallowing chew toys) Is your dog spayed/neutered? All breeds are welcome in my home.

A typical day

I live in a dog-friendly neighborhood and a beautiful walk around town is just what your baby will get. Whether they can go for short walks around the block or a mile walk, they will get what they need.
