Pet care experience
I lived on a farm growing up and have always loved spending time with animals. Living in such a small community I often watched over the houses and animals of friends and families while they were away which has given me so much experience with animals (of all shapes, sizes, quirks/sensitivities, and breeds). I am going to school and working full time so my hours of availability fluctuate but please just message me with any questions and I will always respond quickly so we can figure out a plan that works for both of us! I have several references on hand I can provide to owners on request. I'm always happy to schedule a meeting between myself and owner/dog so as to make sure it's a good fit and/or to acclimate the dog to me - as a stranger. I always like to know how they are with people, other animals, and kids. If a dog is skittish, a recovering rescue, or agressive with other dogs I might not take them for a walk on a busy street or to the dog park. I also make sure to check for any allergens or health issues (like sensitivities to heat) that they may have and if they are sensitive to car rides. I have marked 'no' on administering medications but if the owner is comfortable showing me how it is done, and the dog isn't agressive towards the treatment, I don't mind providing that service.
A typical day
I always make sure to ask the owner what kind of activities they're comfortable with and what things their dog loves to do. My go to favorite things are; walks/runs, the park/dog park, playing catch, practicing tricks, or even just enjoying a beautiful day.
