My experience with dogs (and cats) started when I was a baby. I've grown up with several dogs and cats. I once held a dog walking/pet sitting business when I was 12 years old until I was 16 years old.I currently own 3 dogs. I've volunteered and worked at two non-profit animal shelters in the dog and cat departments which included animals with illnesses or behavioral issues. I was medical staff at one of the shelters where I administered oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications, and cleaned wounds. I worked at a doggy daycare as a daily care monitor and facility manager that has provided experience with overnight kennels, pet sitting, dog walking, among other things. In 2018 I became a certified professional dog trainer through CCPDT and I'm a positive reinforcement, science based trainer meaning I do not use aversive methods or aversive tools when training dogs. I treat other dogs and cats as if they were a member of my family. I love all breeds of dogs and all cats. I own two 9 year old German Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mixes and 1 4.5 month old Heeler/Aussie mix. I look forward to working with you. I'm a very flexible person who will always put the dogs and cats needs before my own. When booking with me here are some things you should know: 1) if you are booking multiple animals please make sure you are selecting either the additional dog rate or additional cat rate AFTER you selected my standard rate for the FIRST animal. For example: You have 2 dogs and 1 cat needing care. The first dog will be my standard rate, the second dog will be additional dog rate, and the cat will be additional cat rate. If it does not allow you to select one of the additional options then please let me know in the messages and I can fix it for you. 2) When booking in advance, if you are booking me >1 month out I recommend you book me for one night through the app. Once I confirm a booking Rover will charge your card. For example: if you need me to watch 2 dogs for dates 4 months away you will book me for MM/D1 to MM/D2 and you will be charged for one night. When the original dates get closer we will confirm dates and modify the booking. 3) If you wish to have me house sit for you but you do not want me to spend the night and just need me to pop in 4x a day, then you may still book me for house sitting. 4) Any one OUTSIDE of my radius will be charged a $20 transportation fee if you choose to book me. I will only travel outside of my desired radius for house sitting. NO Drop In's or Dog Walks. 5) I do require meet and greets before a booking. I like to get to know owners and their pets before hand.
