Bark less, wag more!

Pet care experience

In May of 2017, I became a foster mom to my sweet Bella, a beautiful brindle Pitbull. She was surrendered with tumors to the APCSM, that later turned out to be terminal cancer. Though I didn't have her in my life for long, she truly made an impact on me and in my heart. I've heard people say that pets come into our lives when we need them the most, and I believe it to be true. Fostering Bella changed my path, caring for her inspired me to bring my love for working with animals to life. In many subtle ways, she gave me the courage to go out and turn my passion into my career. I have been a certified practitioner in Second Degree Reiki for two years and recently gained a certification in Animal Reiki. I've worked with a behavior modification and rehabilitation dog training company, as a dog handler and walker, for a few months before I decided to venture off and build my own pet sitting business. I registered as a sole proprietor with the Town of Stoughton in December of 2017. Currently, I also serve as a board member to The Pet Pantry Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to distribute pet food and related pet items to families in need in order to keep pets and their families together in times of hardship. I have been walking dogs for friends and family since I was a teenager and have been providing in home pet-sitting for about five years now. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, ages and breeds and I have also worked with many dogs that have been rescued, and/or require special care. I have a good understanding of animal behavior and how dogs and cats communicate, particularly for avoiding risky confrontations. With my background and passion in working with animals, I can ensure your pets safety and happiness!

Jacqui was phenomenal! Extremely caring, professional and just did a top notch job! All 3 cats really warmed up to her too! We will definitely be using her again when we have to go out of state!

Jacqui did an awesome job at caring for my cats. This was my first time leaving them for a trip so I was really nervous. She sent me detailed updates and pictures which helped me enjoy my trip and not worry about my fur babies. She was able to get them out of their hiding spots too.

Jacqui is an exceptionally responsible and loving dog caregiver. Your dog is in good hands with her. She is very trustworthy and takes the time to tend to your dog's needs, whether it be administering medication, training them, or giving them playtime and cuddles! I would recommend her to anyone!

Information Jacqui F. would like to know about your pet

I do not have any breed preferences. I can offer short notice services for clients that I have already provided services for; I prefer to schedule a meet and greet prior to providing services. I would like to know how socialized your dog is with people and other dogs. If your dog has an aversion toward anything that may trigger a negative response, please let me know so I can take precaution. I've worked with many dogs that are rescues or have special needs, in such cases, I understand preliminary steps to take to avoid problems. Under my care, your dog will remain leashed to be safe and be sure that no harm is done. If your dog is better off the leash, let me know and we can accommodate to you and your dogs preferred circumstances for visits.

A typical day

It is my intention to allow your pet to thrive by helping you give your pet the care and lifestyle that fits both you and their needs! I can provide reiki treatments, grooming, pet taxi, pet handling during a photoshoot, dog walking, pet sitting, brisk walks or runs, play time, and reinforce the training tools and mechanisms that you choose to use! I am capable of taking on any type of care with the help of your instructions (medication, shots, etc.). I enjoy allowing dogs to walk dogs in cool, shaded areas, so if you live near any parks or fields, I will surely walk your dog to them. If I walk your dog on pavement, I will make sure the temperature is favorable for your pet. I am an active person, so I am willing to go running with your dog as well. I have walked with older dogs too...I can also take it slow for their comfort! If your dog has a specific route, let me know! I'll try to maintain that routine. If you have a puppy, the $5 fee ensures that I will use the commands and practice what you have been, while training your beloved pup.
