Hello, I hope everyone is safe and well during this strange and upsetting time in our lives and looking forward to getting back to a new normality. I moved back to the UK 2yrs ago after living in Australia for over 30 yrs. After successfully battling cancer for six years, I decided that I wanted to spend the rest of my life doing something I love and that is caring for animals. I was never blessed with children so I was always able to spend lots of time with my pets and volunteer at the local dog shelter. Helping dogs overcome trauma and training them to become obedient, loving, devoted family pets was incredibly rewarding. I have 4 years experience in administering insulin by injection and making sure a pet with diabetes has the correct diet and is fed at the right times. I have a car that is usually full of dog hair, balls, chew toys, ropes, training treats and right now, mud, as I love to take them for long walks, off the lead if at all possible and to explore new places together. I prefer to look after your pets in your home I'm tidy and clean, having been a home owner most of my adult life, I genuinely appreciate the trust you are putting in me and I can promise you I am responsible, reliable and respectful of your home and always, always put your pets needs first. I'm happy to travel a fair distance if I think I'm the right fit for you. If at all possible I like to come and meet the family beforehand so that should you decide to use my services, your pets aren't suddenly left alone with a complete stranger. A typical day with me would be a long, sniffy walk, cuddles, games and treats. I'm a homebody so your pet will never be left alone for long periods of time. If your pet is elderly or disabled I stil make sure they have lots of affection, attention and as much care as they need. I have current references from happy dog and cat owners whom I have sat for (through other agencies) as well as on Rover. Oh and I'm more than happy to share my bed with your fur babies, some people think this is wrong, those people would not be my friends. lol I have been house sitting and looking after other peoples pets for some years now and I feel I bring a lot of practical experience to the table as well as plenty of love. Pet care and house sitting is my full time job. I give 100% and try to give your pets the love and affection they need. I make sure to do a meet n greet so the owners can see me interacting with their baby. I ask them to leave me a comprehensive list of requirements and daily routine plus any words their dog knows.
