I am a long time owner, care-taker, and lover of doggos, with lots of energy for entertaining and caring for your beloved pets! I have LOADS of experience with 24-hour in-home care, including walking, feeding, and grooming when requested. I am very familiar with training methods and commands, having used them with my own dog as well as dogs I have cared for in the past. I am very active, so if your pup needs two walks a day or even a running parter, I’m your gal :) Whether its just for a short walk or a longer stay, I’d love to keep your dogs company!

We are so happy to have connected with JJ through Rover! Her updates throughout the stay really show how sweet she is with my pup, but also gives me the greatest relief to know Dolly is ok and in good hands. Great communication, very professional, and Dolly loved her right off the bat which is the best bonus of all :)
It was really comforting having JJ stay with our 2 dogs and cat while we were away. We appreciated her communication and photos she sent. We have a timid dog who can be challenging and JJ was really patient with her. Both dogs loved her so much they slept in bed with her. I will happily have her stay with our crew again.
I don't even know where to start - JJ is absolutely amazing and the best dog walker we've ever had. She is extremely responsible, kind, and truly cares about your pet. She communicates often and will follow your instructions. We really enjoyed JJ's post-walk summaries and all the photos she sent us. Lily will miss JJ tons! For my walking service, my care is entirely flexible to your dog’s needs. Whether your dog needs to take it slow or needs two-hour long walks, if they like to run the show or if they are used to following commands, I can adapt to your preferences for them. A typical walk with me may start with some motivation building with them as needed and will be full of praise and enthusiastic engagement. I am also comfortable using different harnesses/collars and will always pick up their “droppings.” For in-home care, I offer a wide range of services to best look after your dogs and home. Feel free to have me feed them or give them their medications, pick up their poop in the yard, bathe them or brush them, walk them, play with them, or practice commands with them. I am happy to spend the day and/or stay the night to keep them company as well. If you have any other care-taking requests, shoot me a message and I can add it to your list of services. When meeting new pups, ensuring that they feel comfortable with me is a priority, so I will begin building trust with them the moment we meet. This being said, for more sensitive puppers I encourage scheduling a meet-and-greet with me beforehand so that your pup can get to know me with their owner’s reassurance.

I’d like to know your dog’s typical reaction to meeting new people and dogs, as well as their general energy level throughout the day. If you have multiple doggies, what is their dynamic with each other like? Let me know any house rules that I need to keep consistent with and any training that needs to be upheld (ie. Heeling on walks, sitting and waiting before serving food, etc.). And, of course, let me know if you have any special requests for services not listed on my profile.
A typical day
I LOVE play time when it comes to energizing and entertaining your pets. To make it more fun and engaging for them, I might set goals to be rewarded by toy-play and praise. Tug-of-war and fetch are just a few of the classics that I love. I have many different walking routes that I love to explore when walking my own dog. With the many reserves in the area, finding a less crowded trail with some hills is my go-to, but I also love walking along the beaches or just around the neighborhood. I will not drive with your dog to walk spots unless you request/consent otherwise, so typically I’d walk your dog around the neighborhood or to nearby parks and trails within walking distance.

Availability
I have a very flexible part-time work schedule, so your dog’s availability can come first! I am able to easily fit walks into my mornings, noons, and nights, but I normally prefer not to walk past dark. Since my part-time job is hybrid (part remote, part in person), I am able to minimize the amount of time that I am away, so that I can plan to keep your pet company for all of the day if requested. Due to the schedule fluctuations of my part-time job, I will provide more specific details of my exact dates/ times where I will be away upon service request.
