Pet care experience
I'm a mature adult with over 45 years of pet-owning and pet sitting experience. I'm a licensed teacher and my husband is an artist. Our own menagerie includes 1 dog, a cat, 5 snakes, 8 geckos, 3 lizards, 1 chameleon, and fish. It's hard to find people to care for our unique mix when we travel so I thought I would offer my experience up to others having similar difficulties. I have significant experience with livestock as well as unusual and exotic pets. We have a fully fenced yard in Coos Bay and are capable of hosting your dog(s) as long as they get along with others. I have a lab that is 7. I'm willing to visit your place twice a day to feed, play with, and exercise your pets while you are away. I'm geared up for walking and am willing to take your well-behaved fido with me for trail walks and visits to the dog park if you like. Consider me if you are looking for drop-in pet care, drop-off doggie daycare, overnight boarding, and/or walks. In addition, I'll care for your feathered, furry, or scaled critters, water your plants, check the mail and dump the trash. I look forward to meeting you and your special family members!

It is important that your dog get along with Zoey, my lab. She's super easygoing and has never once had any negative interactions with the many dogs that have stayed here. Even though she is 7, she acts like a much younger dog. She will want to play but is also very calm with older dogs. If your dog is recently recovering from surgery, I might not be a good fit. In addition, if your dog is aggressive, I can not watch him/her. Thank you for your understanding.
A typical day
I like to take Zoey (my lab) swimming in the summer as well as for short hikes. We frequently hit Bastendorff beach for a bit of exercise when the weather allows. Our yard is large and offers the opportunity for a game of fetch, a jump in the dog pool, or lounging on the deck.

Availability
I'm available full-time most days during summer. When school is in session, I'm available on weekends and some holidays. I'm often called on short notice for a boating and/or dune excursions and that works well on most weekends. Please see the calendar.
