Pet care experience

Dogs have been a huge part of my life, ever since I was little. I grew up on a farm, where I garnered over 20 years of experience taking care of animals, but primarily a great family of dogs! Taking care of animals is practically second nature to me, so becoming a dog sitter was a natural step towards my goal of bringing as much doggie happiness into the world as possible! I simply love being able to take care of dogs, and can’t wait to meet you and your best friend. When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It’s a great way to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pup and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it’s always great to chat with owners in person about what makes their pup tick! Finally, I just love meeting new dogs! I like to get down on their level to show them that I’m here to make friends, and I’m sure we’ll be best buddies in no time at all. I know just how difficult it can be to be away from your best furry friend, so I believe that it’s my goal to make you feel like you never left them in the first place! To that end, I believe that communication is the key to every good stay or visit. I love taking copious notes on everything from meal prep to exercise times, and my priority is to keep you in the loop on everything that we do together. Nothing is too small to keep tabs on! Along with my detailed daily updates, I always like to send tons of pictures of your pup and I having fun together!

Jackie was PHENOMENAL with our fur babies, and really put us at ease while we were traveling overseas. Despite my dogs having really bad separation anxiety and leaving not-so-great potty surprises, she was so sweet and so patient with them and it really helped me feel so relieved about my first Rover experience. She went above and beyond with caring for my pets and always gave me in depth comments for each visit and lots of pictures, too! I really appreciated her thorough visits and hope that she’ll be down to watch my pets in the future!

Jacqueline is by far the best furry friend sitter I could have hoped for to care for my aging doggy. She was gentle, thoughtful and went above and beyond for my Dutchess' weeklong stay. She updated me daily and sent beautiful candid photos of my pet. She voiced any concerns about my doggie promptly to ensure her safety and health. She took Dutchess on many daily walks and spoiled her rotten! We will definitely visit Auntie Jackie and her dog, Cousin Carlee, again!

Jacqueline is AMAZING! She is one of the most reliable and honest people I know. Dogs are like our children and I wouldn't trust just ANYONE with either. Jacqueline however puts my mind at ease because of her experience with dogs and most importantly her LOVE for dogs! I think that is VERY important when choosing someone to care for your pets. Jacqueline will always be my first choice to care for my pet and I hope she will be yours as well! Thank you!

Information Jacqueline E. would like to know about your pet

Some things I like to learn ahead of time: - Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? - What’s your preferred method of communication? - Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? - Do you have a vet nearby that you trust? - Is your dog spayed/neutered? - Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? - What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? - What’s the best way to spoil your pup?

A typical day

We’ll never be starved for adventure! There are tons of things to do locally, and so many great things to explore. My favorite places to bring dogs are to the local dog park, which is always a great place to meet friends. The dogs there are always so friendly and can’t wait to have some play time together! If we want to hang out, just the two of us, we can always head over to the park and spend some quality time together. I live very close to Rattan Creek and Robinson Park, as both of which are only a short, 5-minute drive away. I love to keep dogs active and stimulated, but I’m also happy to make sure that your pup is as comfortable as possible, even if that means just lounging around on the couch together!
