Pet care experience
I've been responsible for dogs ever since I could walk! I love dogs and cats of all ages and sizes, so I'm happy to work with you to accommodate any needs your dog may have. I recently lived with two cats for several years, and dogsat for friends new and old throughout that time as well. I'm an attentive and enthusiastic petsitter and walker, and would love to meet yours! My family has owned at least one dog at a time since I was born, and so I grew up around dogs and taking care of them. When I was growing up, I would sometimes walk my neighbors' dogs and dog-sit for them as well. My schedule is fairly flexible, so as long as you communicate with me what your needs are I'm happy to make your pup as happy as possible!

Jacob is amazing with dogs! I had him watch my two pups for a week while I was on vacation and I was a litttle hesitant to leave them alone but Jacob really showed an instant connection with the dogs. They seemed instantly comfortable with him and he was great at keeping them both happy while I was gone! 10/10 would recommend!
As long as I have known Jacob, I have known two things: he takes his job(s) seriously and that he has a passion for puppers. He commits 100% to his work and I know dogs will be in the best possible care under his supervision.

I'm the sort of person that checks the locks twice every time I enter and exit my home. When I'm taking care of your pet, I'll triple check! I'm also good at ensuring I follow the routines and boundaries you set with your pet to ensure they're comfortable and you are too.

I like to know about your pet's personality, including how comfortable they are with strangers, how active they are in a typical day and the ways they communicate their needs with you. I also need to know any medical needs and whether your pet is house-trained.
A typical day
I enjoy finding the hidden parks and green spaces scattered throughout DC, and love to explore Rock Creek Park on my own. A typical day with a pet includes a mix of active time outdoors and comfortable cohabiting time indoors so as not to over-stimulate your loved one. When we're outside, I follow your typical walking route if you have one, or make sure to follow a straightforward path with your pet. I'm also active and am happy to take your dog on a jog if they like to run!

Availability
I'm currently on a hybrid work schedule and can typically choose which days I'm working from home. That means if you communicate when your pet needs attention, I can adjust work accordingly! I'm also more than happy to work weekends.
