Pet care experience
After growing up with cats, I got my first dog (Tigger) when I was in high school, and I quickly became is primary caretaker. I trained him (as well as I could at 15) and took him everywhere with me. Last year, we decided that we were ready to adopt a puppy, and we made Theo a part of our family. He's a one-year old 55lb mix (blue heeler, brittany spaniel, and lots of other energetic breeds). He typically gets 2-3 big activities every day--a trip to the dog park (we go to Isles and Minnehaha), and a couple walks or a run. If your dog likes to run, I'd be happy to take them with! We live right next to Theodore Wirth Park (our dog's namesake), so there is lots to explore.

Our backyard is fenced, but we don't leave dogs out there unattended. Theo goes to the dog park almost every day, but we're happy to avoid dog parks for owners who aren't comfortable with them.

I love all dogs, but I can't take any dogs that aren't safe around cats. I'd love to take care of your dog outside of my home, but I can't risk Juno's safety!
A typical day
Ideally, I'd bring your dog along for my dog's daily exercise. In the summer, he usually gets a morning walk (sometimes a run with walk breaks). We live next to Theodore Wirth Park and run/walk the trails in the park all the time. We also make it to a dog park (Isles or Minnehaha) most days in the summer.

I'm a teacher, so my schedule follows the school year. During the summer, I'm looking to pet sit as much as possible. During the school year, I'm mostly available on weekends.
