Reliable Personalized Dog Care

Pet care experience

About this sitter: I have worked as an independent pet sitter for many years and have also worked for Camp Bow Wow as a dog handler. I have recieved training from rover and Camp Bow Wow that apply to making sure your dog has a great time and is well cared for. Currently I am only accepting house sits due to availability. If you are a new customer I am happy to give you references from owners to assure that your home is safe and in capable hands. You can also check under my reviews for verified Rover pet owner reviews! Why I love dog sitting: I have always loved dogs since I was a kid and began my work at my local animal shelter, Tri-Valley Animal Rescue. They always put a smile on my face and I cant help but stop strangers just to give their pup a belly rub. I have taken care of all breeds of dogs, from bull mastiffs and pit bulls to French Bulldogs and stubborn Shiba Inus, and have learned a lot about how to care for a furry family member as a stranger coming into their territory. My experience administering medication: I am comfortable administering medication with clear instructions from the owner. Depending on the difficulty there will be a fee on top of the standard rate. This would be for things like regular injections or any medication that goes beyond hiding a pill in cheese.

Jacob was punctual and very polite. Koda was excited to see him the second time and couldn’t stop wagging his tail so we know that he liked going for a walk with Jacob. We will definitely book Jacob again. Highly recommend him.

Koa did real well at Jacob's. Jacob was impressively accommodating and thoughtful. When we met him for a meet and greet he had a bowl of water for Koa. He made it a point to make Koa feel welcome and comfortable. He spent lots of time with Koa and was keen to keep him busy with walks and visits to the doggie park. We were very happy with Jacob.

Although it was on very short notice, Jacob was very understanding and kind of our situation and took Ku in. Ku has stayed with Jacob before and is in love with him :) He sends us pictures of Ku to let us know how he is doing. He takes very good care of Ku and Ku is very happy which makes us happy as well :)

Since I am a new presence for your dog I usually try to stick with whatever their general care is at home. This helps to prevent separation anxiety and keeps the pups mind at ease even without their favorite humans around. That being said, extra belly rubs are generally my thing!

Information Jacob P. would like to know about your pet

Before confirming a sit I would like to have a meet and greet to meet the pup beforehand and to hammer out any details of the sit. It also helps me as a sitter so the dog meets me and sees me interacting with the owner. This can be crucial to preventing separation anxiety and assure a smooth stay. When I am House sitting here are a few things that I would like to have written down to take the best possible care of your dog and a couple for the house and myself: -Veteranarian Contact Information -Emergency Contact Information -Food and Walking Schedule -Walking Tendencies (Leash Aggresion, Dog Agression ect.) -Hiding Places (If Applicable) -Injuries that have flaired back up in the past -WiFi Password -Plant Watering/Household upkeep -Medication Instructions (If Applicable)

A typical day

Assuming your dog is fit to do so, I love to take dogs up the Eugene O'Neill Trail in Alamo if we go on an adventure. Otherwise I usually tend to stick to whatever the owner normally does to make the dog feel more at ease.
