Pet care experience
I am very experienced with both dogs and cats. I have two cats now and I grew up with a dog my entire life. I have a connection with animals and I feel like they can always tell. The cat I adopted wouldn't go near anyone, the entire time she was at the shelter she just hid under a blanket. But I went up to her cage and she came right out to me and I knew I was going to have to keep her. Pets can feel if someone has the right energy and I think that is why they like me, they know I am a fun, loving and caring guy. I can take care of all dogs and cats, both young and old, I have experience with both. My sister in law works at an animal shelter and she has 4 cats and 2 dogs herself. I spend a lot of time there and am very connected to those pets as well, and that is where I get most of my experience from.

I have two very loving cats at home. They know if a cat doesn't want to be around them and they keep their distance if that is the case (this is the experience we have with one of my sister in law's cats). But other than that they are very playful and loving. I have a nice backyard and a great trail in my neighborhood to walk on. I have plenty of toys in the house and treats as well. There is a lot of room for the animals to run around and have fun. I don't have any kids, it would either just be me or just my girlfriend and I. Making your pet feel safe would be my number one priority, I want them to feel comfortable in their time they spend with me.

The most important things for me to know are the medical information, whether they get along with other dogs and cats, the treats they like if any and the toys they like. Also, I want the pet to feel comfortable so any information that would assist their comfort would be helpful too.
A typical day
There are so many different trails by my house so I would say a typical day would be taking a walk down one of the trails. Then we could stop at home and play with some toys in my backyard. There is a really nice area for pets in my neighborhood where they can really have some fun.

Availability
I am in graduate school right now and trying to become a high school teacher and basketball coach. I am taking many summer classes but I am looking for a way to make some extra money to get through school. I wanted to do something I would really love and appreciate and I can't think of anything else I would rather do than spend my time with animals. All my classes are online so I have a lot of free time, especially on weekends. With my classes being online and all asynchronous courses my schedule is completely flexible. I can always move things around and make time if I have to which is why I thought this would be a perfect fit for me.
