I'm a senior in college attending Georgia Southern. My golden retriever, age 12, recently passed away. I'm used to the exercise requirements of medium to larger breeds and would definitely include a walk or outside play in routine check-ins. If the dog is capable, I can run with it, but if it is older or has medical problems I would be sure to not over exercise. I took care of Brandy as she aged. We used glucosamine for her joints every day and will give her antihistamines for her allergies which she is also on a special diet for. I understand that dogs can be plagued with many of the same problems as humans, and would be sure to give them any medicines they require. They would not be receiving any table food unless you tell me it's alright beforehand. I currently have all morning classes between 8 and 2. I take texts and calls, and would be happy to send updates and pictures. I also regularly check my email, in case of international trips where you don't have cell service.
