I love dogs, I always have. Growing up, I took any opportunity to play, walk, and take care of my friends and families dogs. And now as a college student, something seems missing; It's that I don't get to spend nearly enough time with dogs. Here are a few things every dog owner can trust, whenever they put their dog in my care. My ultimate goal is to provide excellent care for your dog. I know that leaving your dog with someone is akin to leaving your child with them, so the health and safety of the dog come before ANYTHING else. I have never met a dog that I can't charm, but I am well aware that different dogs adjust to people at different speeds. While I think your dog will love me, I know that I have to create a relationship with your dog that is built on trust and that means not overwhelming the dog the first time I meet them. I am a huge fan of positive reinforcement, dogs are smarter than we think and the quickest way to ruin your relationship with a dog is to treat it like it doesn't have feelings. Obviously, there are times when a dog may need to be disciplined, but generally, you can accomplish this with a firm a voice and eye contact with the dog. I will never put your dogs face in its pee or poop (that's gross and rude) and at the end of the day, I will defer to you on anything in this realm. I'm very active, so I can take your dog for a run or walk through the city or a park. I have a flexible schedule, and I think I may be the right person to care for your dog when you are busy.
