Pet care experience
I love engaging with dogs on their level. I’m naturally outgoing and playful, so spending time with dogs is a win-win! Growing up with dogs, and having been the go-to dog walker for friends in grad school has shown me that I rarely enjoy myself more than hanging out with a 4-pawed friend in the park, the family room or just walking down the street. I enjoy the physicality of dogs, whether that be fetch, tug of war, catch or any other games, I enjoy being able to get moving as much as the dog does! I also love smaller, more relaxed dogs. I had a toy poodle growing up and loved cuddling, brushing and letting my dog relax on my leg and watch the world go by.

Information Jacob C. would like to know about your pet
Any behavioral issues- especially with other dogs/animals. When walking or in the park, I want to be sure not to let the dog get into any spats or hurt by other dogs, which might happen if they aren’t well socialized with other dogs. Also, they’re socialization with other people/strangers. Can the nice man on the street pet them? Is the dog ok with that? Does the dog get nervous with new people? I want to know what things the dog is or isn’t comfortable with when out and about. Importantly, I want to know any dietary needs or restrictions, as well as any medical or grooming needs that need to be taken care of during the stay. I prefer breeds that don’t slobber profusely. I don’t mind a little wet kiss, but lots of drool isn’t ideal. Also, I prefer dogs who are socialized enough with strangers not to bite or be aggressive towards me as a sitter.
