Pet care experience
Hello, My name is Jacob, and I would like to tell you a little bit about why I am so passionate about dog care. I have always been drawn to working with dogs. I graduated from Animal Behavior College with a certificate in dog training in 2015 and have been professionally working with dogs ever since. I interned with agility and behavior modification dog trainers, I have taken a continuing education course through the Charlotte Humane Society, and have previously worked as a kennel tech at Mooresville Animal Hospital. I volunteered at the Iredell County Animal Shelter for four years as a dog trainer and a dog tester. During that time I grew fond of one dog, he was a champagne-colored pit-lab mix with lots of energy and one big heart named Duke. Duke was one of our abuse cases and had severe separation anxiety. I would always go get him when new dogs came to the shelter and needed to be tested for aggression before being put up for adoption. No one seemed to want to adopt my testing buddy; after working with him for two months, I took him home and he is now my best friend. I strive to provide a safe, warm, home-like environment for your dog to stay in so that you can have a guilt-free vacation. I can't wait to get started empowering you towards a better relationship with your furry best friend.

Skills
Safety, trust & environment
Each dog gets their own individual crate and fresh bedding to sleep in at night. I only require that you bring your dog's food, collar, and leash (I provide the rest). You are allowed to bring any toys or bedding. Each dog will get hours of supervised outdoor time. I will keep up with the dog's training if requested by the owner, I will not allow them to pick up bad habits or develop anxieties. We send updated photos and videos to the owners at least once every other day or per the request of the owner.

Information Jacob & Amanda M. would like to know about your pet
Just let me know what their: • feeding schedule looks likes? • any medications? • do you have any training or commands you would like for me to keep up with in your absents? • and a little bit about their personality (are they shy around new people and dogs? Do they have some separation anxiety from their owners? I only require: •the dog’s food and food bowls •the dog’s leash •and a crate the appropriate size for your dog • (optional) you are more than welcome to bring treats, toys, and bedding to make your dogs stay more comfortable
A typical day
We get up between 8-9am, let the dogs out to use the restroom. Feed them breakfast, feed ourselves breakfast. Let them out again, work out (either with our home gym or I put them in their crates for morning nap while I go to planet fitness for about an hour. Come home let them out again. If I’m working outside I’ll let them hang out with me, if I’m inside working at my home office they hang out inside with me. I do my best to let them out every 2-3 hours. Then I feed them, feed myself, let them out one last time for a few hours of play time to really tire them out. Watch late afternoon T.V in the living room. and we are all tucked into bed around 9:00-10:00pm. I do my best to only have them in the crates while sleeping. I can not guarantee it every time but I enjoy hiking on the weekends and so long as I have the owner’s permission I’ll take them hiking with me on leash.
