No longer have the time or physical ability to care for Dotty and Spike but love them too much to give them up? Or maybe you just want someone you can trust to take care of your special family member that unfortunately can't tag along on vacation... I've been pet sitting for friends and family for 10 years and now I'm ready to turn it into a business. As a zoo keeper, I learned how to handle a variety of animals - from scales to feathers to fur - and of all shapes and sizes. I have basic training skills and use operant conditioning via positive reinforcement. As a former high school student in a pre-veterinary science course, I learned not only how to administer oral medications but also subcutaneous and intramuscular injections when necessary. Earning a Bachelor's degree in Captive Wildlife Care and Education at a hands-on school further expanded my knowledge and experience in animal husbandry with both domestic and exotic species. My experience with my own pets (dogs, cats, fish, gecko, and tarantula) and captive wildlife has provided me with a great set of skills and techniques for managing multiple individuals of a variety species. I won't shy away from any pet no matter how big, small, scaly, smooth, feathery, or furry - I love them all! Under my care, your pet will be part of my family. Your dog or cat will be allowed to do the same things my dog and cat do, so long as you allow it. Your rules and guidelines are the rules and guidelines I will follow and respect when caring for your companion(s). Maintaining their routine, safety, health, happiness, and comfort are my priorities. I'm available for preliminary meet and greets.
