My family had Boxers and Boston Terriers growing up, so I've always been around dogs and pets. When I moved to LA ten years ago, I began dog and cat sitting for friends. I absolutely adore animals and have a wonderful time with this job. When I'm pet sitting I never leave them alone for more than 4 hours a day. I work from home so that's very attainable. I always make time for walks and play time. I stick to whatever routine and specific rules you have for your pet. I make sure to give extra love and attention as I know being away from home or away from their owner can be a shock to the system.
