I’ve always had a huge love for animals, so getting to be a dog sitter is really a dream come true! I have been pet sitting since I was a child, so I’ve learned just how important a pup is to our lives. They are always giving and selfless, so helping them out in any way I can has been a huge priority for me. It’s also great that I can give back to the community by providing owners with peace of mind while they’re away. Plus, I love that my own pup can have a playmate of their own! My experience with our four legged friends is long and extensive. Although I’ve been a long time dog owner, it doesn’t end there! For starters, I have been a dog trainer in the US and in Grenada, which was an amazing experience. Getting to work with tons of different pups was such a treat and also allowed me to expand my pet sitting skill set. Additionally, I’ve worked at a doggy daycare here in Austin, which is a wonderful daily challenge. Little, big or giant, I love them all! Finally, I rescued and fostered my current dog, her mother, and six siblings! Although some of them are off to forever families, getting to help raise them and get them ready to transition was so rewarding and important for me. The experience that I’ve learned taking care of pups is something that I’ll always hold with me! When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It’s a great way to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pup and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it’s always great to chat with owners in person about what makes their pup tick! Finally, I just love meeting new dogs! I like to get down on their level to show them that I’m a welcome presence here to make friends, and I’m sure we’ll be best buddies in no time at all. Communication is always a big priority for me, so you can be rest assured that you’ll be kept in the loop at all times. I like to get as much information about what makes your pup tick! It’s always great knowing a pup inside and out so I can make them feel happy and healthy. I love sending tons of updates with accompanying pictures so you can see just how much fun your pup and I are having together! Finally, I’ll always keep all lines of communication open, just in case you need to get in touch with me about any concerns or questions. I do love big dogs, but cant always host them under special circumstances can host them in my home for boarding.
