Former Police Officer, I've been a dog owner, trainer, handler for 40+ years. Experienced with Family pets as well as working K9s. Several K9 certifications. lots of love. I have owned many Shepherds over the years and several Springers. I am used to high energy working dogs as well as quiet family pets. I am able to host several personalities and breeds of dogs, giving them the attention and space they need if dog requires. My home is set up for just that. Quiet space for dogs that want to be alone, outdoor fenced area for the runners, beautiful 3 bay kennel run for longer periods of dogs that love the outdoors and all of this gives me the space and ability to rotate and socialize dogs to their needs.

My wife and I have had a lot of experience with rover since our young lab is a bit of a handful. Jackie is the best person on rover we have encountered thus far. I felt immediately comfortable with her right out of the gate because she took a considerable amount of time to get to know us, the training we have implemented, and the quirks of our dog. Jackie makes a concerted effort to ensure that your dog will be comfortable no matter their breed or personality. She has the training, the passion, and the infrastructure for any situation. She has an immense amount of experience with dogs given her background. Her house and spacious backyard is also set up perfectly as an oasis for dogs. Jackie’s setup has everything a passionate dog owner would hope is available for their dog to have an action packed and or relaxing day. Jackie’s own pup is an incredibly well trained German Shepard that sets a great example as well. This is simply a bonus. My wife and I feel absolutely care free when we drop our pup off for the day. We are so fortunate that we found her. Jackie also offers some great training too that we plan to take advantage of. I also learn something new about being a diligent dog owner every time we interact with her.
Jackie went out of her way to help us last minute. I was worried Toby, our Shepherd mix would be to anxious outside of our home, he has some behavioral issues we have learned how to manage. She offered to train him while we were gone and teach us when we got back from our short trip. She also made sure to give Troy our Chihuahua much needed lap attention. After practicing what she taught us, we literally have a new dog, Toby no longer jumps on the fence, we enjoy walking him and he was such a good boy when we took him with us camping this last week, my mind was blown. I'm so grateful for the time and effort she put into taking care of our babies.
Jackie is the best! I am so happy I found her. She cared for my dog when my dog unexpectedly became ill. She drove her to the vet and provided the care she needed. Jackie kept me updated every step of the way. She is so knowledgeable about dogs and I trust her 100% with my pup.

My home consist of a very large fenced in yard. A beautiful brand new 3 bay inside/outside kennel run, a dedicated room in my home right off of yard for doggies only ( dubbed "Kamp Kiya" ) Dogs are cared for with their owners wishes in mind. They are welcome to be a part of our family while boarding, I also follow crate rules for those who have them. As long as they get along with other pets in home there are no issues. My home has plenty of space and areas set up for spacial comfort and success. I do have a no pets on furniture rule for the most part ( every situation is different. I have had smaller pups that are very content to curl up in a lap or on corner of couch) Honestly is case by case. I offer basic puppy training for pups under 6 months also! Boarding stays need to be picked up by 12:00pm-2:00pm after boarding. If longer stay is needed, a 30- extended daycare fee will be charged per pet.

Please let me know if your dog is truly housebroken, nervous around people or animals, cries in kennel or when left alone, barks, etc. I promise you it will not sway on whether or not I take your pup, I just need to know so I can prepare best for your pup so it is a comfortable and positive experience for both of us. :)
A typical day
Dogs will get plenty of outside time to run and play freely in my beautiful fenced in yard. I use lots of different toys and activities to stimulate all doggo types and speeds. There are woods behind my home as well, so if doggos like walks, we take a walk and get some woodland time in. When inside the home, dogs pretty much blend in with my homelife unless they are restricted in some way. I love to cook and have multiple pictures of visiting doggos helping in the kitchen :) As long as pups are dog friendly, their are always other doggy friends to play with! Boarding stays need to be picked up by 10am-after boarding. If longer stay is needed, a 30- extended daycare fee will be charged per pet. Added holiday fees will be incurred during all major holidays

Availability
I stay at home full time to care for all visiting pups. If I do need to leave for any reason I’m never usually fine longer than an hour or so to run a visit. If I’ll be away longer for any reason, you will know ahead of time.
