Pet care experience
The connection and care that having dogs brings is so special to me, and I cannot imagine not having a dog (at least one!) in my life. I started dog sitting in high school for families in my neighborhood, and picked it back up as a dog walker/cat sitter in San Francisco. After college, I took in an anxious, under socialized Jack Russell, and cared for her through her final years with skin cancer. I've been through obedience training with all of my personal dogs, and trained my current dog using clicker training and positive reinforcement. I love seeing dogs become more confident, and enjoying a nap in the sunshine after a fun play session. Plus, my dogs are always happy to share their toys!

Jackie took care of my dog for 5 nights/6 days while I was out of town, and it made my whole trip so much better and less stressful! Not only did she take awesome care of my dog while I was away, but she also took care beforehand to make sure my dog and her dogs got along well and that she understood all the relevant details of my dog's routine, and sent me plenty of updates and photos during the stay. If you're looking for someone to take great care of your dog who will also communicate with you really well (and maybe take even cuter photos of your dog than you do), then you can quit looking and just contact Jackie.

Information Jackie S. would like to know about your pet
Dogs that are more "alpha" are not great fits for my two because of their different play styles. Ideally, I don't like to host dogs that are over 30 pounds. I would like to know the energy level of the dog so I can plan for different activities throughout the day. I would also like to know if the dog is scared, or nervous about certain noises, objects, or specific breeds. I cannot host any Goldendoodles because my older sheltie is afraid of them.
A typical day
We can play with toys, or fun brain-games like finding a hidden treat. We can even brush up on tricks for tasty snacks, or cuddle on the couch. Walks around the neighborhood are always an option, or if they prefer, they can sniff around my fenced yard.
