I LOVE dogs. I used to watch dogs in my home as a ROVER sitter until I adopted one of my rescues in 1/2018. After adopting him, I learned he was not always well-behaved with all human and animal visitors and stopped doing in home care. This much loved dog has recently passed away after a serious illness and my girl Shu Shu would love some new playmates. About me.....I have rescued, housed, loved and helped return many dogs to health over the years. I am ultra responsible and take any work I do very seriously and will do so in caring for your pet/ family member as well. My full time work has been as both a licensed counselor and I have been active in that field for over 30 years and as a nursing aid at the local hospital and in client homes.

Jackie is the perfect sitter for Brando. She welcomes dogs into her home that will be good company for her dog. Brando felt instantly at home and she pictures. daily. It is clear to me that she does this work for the well-being of her dog, What a terrific neighbor!
Jackie was great! She sent updates so I didn't worry while I was gone. I appreciated that she met us beforehand to make sure it would be a good fit for her and Goose, which went a long way toward putting me at ease. I would absolutely recommend her (and Shu Shu!)
Our dog Charlotte had a great time staying with Jackie and playing with her adorable pup Shu Shu. She has the perfect home and great big yard for dog playtime. We would definitely book again and I highly recommend her! It's very clear that Jackie loves animals and is a wonderful dog sitter - we received updates each day that Charlotte stayed with her, including photos and notes on her stay.
We needed last minute day care for KissMe while we attended a meeting on our way out of town. Jackie, the closest to our meeting, gladly offered 1/2-day rate. She answered our questions. Jackie stayed in touch by text as we neared her house and met us outside to make the drop off quicker. During short time we were away she sent assurance KissMe was doing fine and two photos. When we came to pick him up, KissMe was happy and well-adjusted. Shortly after we were on the road, she posted a report.

I have a huge fenced yard and a doggie door and as long as there are no individual safety concerns, pets are allowed free rein between outside and in. My dog generally loves other dog guests, is welcoming and loves to play. I can follow your preferred directions regarding feeding, medications, allergies etc. I don't allow dogs on bed/furniture and will verbally correct them if necessary (offering food rewards and positive attention for desired behavior). I absolutely do not engage in any kind of physical punishment for unwanted behavior.

I would want to know the dog would not have any significant aggressive tendencies or tendencies to "mark" inside the house. I would want to know about any tendencies toward separation anxiety, escape or property destruction. This would not automatically rule out sitting for the dog but just allow me to plan for the right supervision
A typical day
I actually prefer not to take the dogs out for walks as I think it creates further opportunities for escape or harm to the dog. The backyard is huge and that and my own dog provide a lot of opportunity for fun and exercise

Availability
I work outside my home part time and am not available Wednesdays or Thursdays. I can typically be available any other day during the week with some notice and will generally remain at home with any pet guests especially if they are new to me and if pet parents prefer I stay home with the pets at all times.
