Pet care experience
I walk and continue to train my own dog. I walk family and friends’ dogs anytime I get the chance. I have loved caring for animals ever since I can remember. I work well under pressure and was able to save my family’s dog from a medical emergency. I have a cat of my own. He’s wonderful and has been successfully house trained by my husband and me. He was recently diagnosed with diabetes, so I have experience with subcutaneous injections as well as drawing blood for glucose monitoring. I will care for your animals like they’re my own.

Jackie took a lot of photos while I was gone and gave my cat her medication with ease. She’s so easy going and great with animals. I definitely recommend her
Jackie was great with our girls, and I know they were definitely sad to see her leave! We felt very confident that our pups and cats were in good hands with Jackie around. One of our dogs even had a small health issue come up right before we left town, but Jackie was more than comfortable helping us through it while we were gone. She kept us updated with texts and pictures to help ease our minds. We definitely recommend Jackie if you need someone to watch your fur babies, and we’ll be booking with her again soon!

I understand that every animal is different and that the owner knows their pet best. I would like to build trust with the you, the owner, first in order to hear exactly how you’d like for me to care for the pet. I like to train my dog as I’m walking her to encourage success even with distractions. She can heel, sit and stay, lay down, shake paws, and spin. She’s also in early stages of learning to play hide and seek in the home. Our cat loves this game and will sometimes join in. We like to give them approved fruits and veggies when we can, but they love their treats. Our dog gets a bath every other week unless she’s gotten especially dirty. Our cat gets his bath monthly. The each get flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives every month. Again, I will listen to how you like your pets taken care of and will care for them as much as I do my own.

Besides caring for my own pets, I have volunteered for a veterinarian which has helped to experience all types of animals with different conditions. I believe the details are very important. I’d like to be made aware of food sensitivities, walking preferences, environment preferences, allergies, and anything else deemed important by the owner.
A typical day
I use toys for play and training. I also like to provide food enrichment at home instead of a typical meal in a bowl. For walks, I like to go to different places like parks, stores, and the beach to provide a variety of environments and socializations to encourage a well-rounded pet.

Availability
My full-time job is with the school district, so I’m more available during the summer. Otherwise, I’m mainly available during the weekends and some holidays.
