Pet care experience
I love all animals. I find it extremely rewarding to care for them and make sure they are happy. I am from San Francisco and I a senior in college at Macalester in St. Paul, MN. Last year I fostered a dog with my roommates and I also volunteered at a cat shelter on the weekends. When I’m home I love to spend even more time with animals. Besides Rover, I like to foster orphaned kittens and over the years I have fostered over 7 litters with Toni’s Kitten Rescue and S.F. Animal Care & Control. Fostering is a big responsibility and requires a lot of time and attention to the needs of the animals. I have learned so much about caring for animals from these experiences that I feel very confident about caring for cats and dogs. For dogs I love spending time taking them on walks, playing with them in my backyard when they are staying with me, feeding them, and cuddling them. For cats I love playing with them with wand toys, cuddling, and petting them.

Jackie is a godsend. This was the second time that she was taking care of our cats. As usual, she took great care of them and sent us detailed updates. We cannot recommend her enough.
We hired Jackie both for boarding and regular walks of our mini labradoodle, Peanut! Jackie was incredibly responsive, punctual, and great with sharing updates while we were away. I’d highly recommend her and plan to continue working with her in the future!
Jackie has been a wonderful cat sitter to our little one. She kept me updated the entire stay with our kitty. Would absolutely recommend her and rebook with her!

When a dog visits my home, they are rarely left alone and when they are, it’s for a very short period and they are kept safe while I am away. I have a fenced back yard which they have free access to during the day. I have the dogs sleep in the same room with me so I can make sure they are comfortable and feel safe.

I like to know the dog’s routine so I can keep to it as much as possible. I also like to know what their toileting and food schedule is. Of course, I like to know what makes them the happiest!!!
A typical day
I have an enclosed back yard with a large lawn area. This is a great place for dogs to explore and have fun running and playing fetch. I also like to take my Rover dogs on walks in my Noe Valley neighborhood. There are several pocket parks in the area and lots of fun places to explore and sniff on our walks.

I am a student in college so I have availability after my classes and on most weekends. I have lived in Saint Paul for three years now and I know a lot of places to walk dogs in the neighborhood
