Pet care experience
I have watched cats and dogs for my friends for a lot of my life, so I am experienced in general care. I've also raised two kittens on my own and helped to raise my friend's Blue Heeler puppy. I volunteer as a dog walker at a shelter, so I have a good amount of experience in dog walking and some enrichment! So far, I’ve worked with so many different breeds as a Rover walker/sitter, and I’m excited to meet more! I also work at a VCA vet as a technician assistant in specialty surgery (I hope to attend veterinary school one day!). I am no expert but definitely have a good amount of experience in handling dogs and cats and in understanding medical issues! I love animals in general, so I am always willing to learn more beyond the dog and cat :)

Unfortunately with three cats and a dog in our home, it may not be the most suitable for a visitor, but this can be case by case. For the client home, I am always very patient with animals and am willing to learn how to navigate other homes to care for his or her pets. I will make sure the fur babies are as comfortable as possible. And I will surely take any advice from the client regarding their homes or their pets!

If a dog has special needs, I'd love to know ahead of time, so I can prepare for whatever accommodations are needed! If a dog prefers certain places or toys or anything, I would also like to make him or her as comfortable as possible, so I would appreciate that information as well!
A typical day
I would consult with the caregiver to find out what activities their pets are interested in and indulge in those activities if possible! I personally enjoy playing with their toys, and I like to take my friend's dog to the park nearby and throwing a frisbee with him.

Availability
To be honest, my work schedule isn’t completely consistent which can make a regular weekly schedule not always attainable. Currently, I am mostly available Saturdays and Mondays. I can consider overnight care from Mon-Thurs on a case by case basis as I work during the day. For the most part, if I am free I am happy to do drop ins and walks! Tues-Thurs I work from about 9am-6pm.
