Hi, I’m Jack, and I absolutely love dogs! I will treat your pet with lots of attention, love and care. I genuinely enjoy walking/jogging. So taking your pet on a walk/jog is the absolute win-win! I am very responsible, always bring extra litter bags and treats (if allowed). I also pay careful attention to any specific instructions you have for your pets. Standard walk is 30min. If your pet is the energetic and likes long walks, I will gladly take them on longer treks. My house sitting service is thorough and communicative; I never leave a mess. My drop-ins are prompt and will follow any specific instructions you might have. My experiences and availability: 2 years pet sitting and dog walking exp (for friends and family). Basic animal training from Oregon Humane Society Flexible on weekends for walking, sitting, and drop-ins. Available after 5:30pm on weekdays. I have a car. Former Humane Society volunteer.

Jack watched our home, dog and cat for 2 weeks. He did a very good job! He sent many pictures. Our dog takes a while to warm up to other people and he came to our home twice before we left and he paid a lot of attention to our dog, trying to make friends. He was very kind and patient. His girlfriend was also here visiting from Japan and she shared in the care of our pets. It was an excellent arrangement. Jack went out of his way to make our homecoming good (changed the sheets on our bed) and waited for us to get home before he left. I would hire Jack again! He’s kind, thoughtful and patient with the pets.
Jack took great care of our cat while we were away! He spent time playing with him each day and giving him lots of affection. Thanks Jack!!
Jack did a wonderful job with Sasha. He kept me posted with pictures the entire time and made me feel that I had made the right decision to hire him. I was never worried about Sasha while I was away and when I returned my dog was the same happy dog I had left a few days ago. It is clear that Jack really cares about animals and I think he conveys that to his charges (i.e. my dog). I would hire him again without hesitation and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caring person to watch their pet.
I had the pleasure of sharing dog sitting duties with Jack on multiple occasions, and it is easy to see that Jack is a competent sitter who cares about his clients very much. Jack brings a wealth of knowledge from his experiences at the Oregon Humane Society, where volunteers are taught about dog behaviors and how to train dogs to do simple commands. In his interactions with dogs, it is plain to see that Jack is an experienced handler who is adept at gauging the personality of each of his clients. He is patient when it comes to understanding the needs of his clients but is also enthusiastic and isn't afraid to engage with them on their level at playtime. Jack is also responsible when it comes to house sitting duties. He is a problem-solver but is communicative when problems arise, so you can rest assured knowing that your home is in good hands while you are gone. Jack is committed to giving his clients the best care so that they are content by the time they are reunited with their humans.
