Where is the extra credit star, because that's what Jack deserves! I am the puppy mama that would prefer not to go on vacation if my dog can't come. That being said, I was in that situation, so I decided to give Rover a shot. I found Jack, contacted him and within minutes received a response that he was available for the weekend I needed a sitter. He even arranged to meet me ahead of my puppy's actual stay so that I was comfortable with my choice. He and his girlfriend, Jess, are some of the most kind-hearted people I've met. I was actually beginning to look forward to how much fun my puppy, Benjamin, was going to have. Jack was very flexible with my schedule and went above and beyond every step of the way. On the day I dropped Benjamin off for his 4-day stay with Jack, I walked out of Jack's very nice home and got a little emotional to be leaving my puppy. But Benjamin was immediately excited to see and play with Jack, and Jack seemed genuinely happy to see Benjamin again. I didn't have much time to miss Benjamin though, because within two hours, I was receiving text messages and picture messages with updates on Benjamin's stay. Jack stayed in constant communication with me on how Benjamin was doing and I think I received about 14 pictures. Jack kept me so informed, it was almost as if I hadn't had to leave Benjamin behind at all. I had no question Benjamin was in good hands (literally, I received one picture of Jess carrying Benjamin on a walk because he was tired)! Jack and Jess are super active, which was great for Benjamin (australian shepherd/border collie mix)! I really could not have asked for a better experience with a dog sitter. Jack was so understanding and accommodating with my "puppy mama neuroses" and he will absolutely be my go-to for any future boarding needs.
