I love spending time with dogs. I have been a dog owner and dog lover my entire life. I grew up on a mountain in the middle of nowhere Southwestern Virginia and my best friend was a German Sheppard, Blackie. Years later, I befriended a Siberian Husky, Duke. Together, Duke and I have camped and hiked every mile of the Appalachian Trial in Virginia. Duke still lives with my parents on the mountain and I deeply miss having canine companionship. Between the experiences with Blackie, Duke, and every other dog I have had the pleasure of getting to know, I feel extremely confident in my ability to care for dogs of every shape, form, and personality.
