Pet care experience
I have loved dogs and animals from day one. I have been friends and neighbors go-to pet sitter since I was a kid. I wanted to be a vet when I grew up and while my career passions have moved to people care, my love for dogs and all animals has not wavered! Alongside caring for other’s pets, I grew up with cats, birds, Guinea pigs, hermit crabs, and more! I have cared for my own dogs from puppyhood through old age. I have a professional/educational background in behavior analysis which aids in understanding and responding to animal behaviors and training methods.

I provide quality, loving care and will treat your pet as if they were my own! I will be sure to honor the needs of your pet, their environment, and your comfort! I am very hyper-vigilant about dog safety out on walks and in the home. This includes watching for aggressive dog interactions, safety of leashes/harnesses/collars, food safety, supervision in yards, watching for illness or injury, etc. I have experience in crate training my own dogs and in puppy supervision/puppy proofing the home. I love to send photos and updates so you know your pet is being well cared for! While housesitting, I am happy to take care of your home while you are away such as getting mail, watering plants, or taking out the trash!

A typical day
A good walk and belly rub makes any dog’s day better! Let me know your pet’s activity level needs. I can accommodate both the leisurely, mostly sniffing, senior and the active pup that needs a good jog! Happy to take them on their favorite route or out to a favorite park for some ball! Whenever I come to see your dog I will make sure that not only their potty, food, and water needs are met, but that they also get lots of pets and a treat if you wish. I always include lots of praise, snuggles, and belly rubs every time I see them so they feel loved and comforted while you’re away!

Availability
I am a full time graduate student currently working on my Masters to become a hospital chaplain! My schedule gives me flexibility for providing care. NOTE: For housesitting I provide drop-in care only! This means I will provide all needed care but will not spend the night overnight in your home. This usually consists of 4 drop-ins per day (morning, mid-day, dinnertime, and late night last potty) with up to 2 walks as needed. Im always sure to have at least one drop in be intentional extended time in your home with your pet- such as couch time cuddles, playing in the yard, or just working in your home to keep your pet company. This works well for many pets but not for all! If your pet needs someone to sleep in the home overnight or be home 24/7, I wouldn’t be the best fit you! : )
