My husband Lindsey and I have always had multiple dogs at home. In the last 1.5 years we lost both of our rescue French Bulldogs (ages 9 and 13) and were left with only a 4 year old pit mix who is getting all the cuddles now. We miss having more dogs to love on, so we decided to get on Rover. Because of the two frenchies, we’re experienced with senior and sick dogs who require special care due to impaired mobility or medicine/food needs (including pups with seizures, post-surgery, etc.). We’re active and can also take your dog on frequent walks/runs, but most of all, we’ll keep your pups safe, cared for and feeling loved. I’ve worked from home for the last 4 years, and my husband is a military vet (Marine) and retired air-traffic controller so we’re both available to care for your fur babies 24/7. We can accept both set schedules and as-needed care. We have a home with a fenced backyard, and live just one block from a park where we play endless fetch with our pup. River bank with a long, car free bike trail is 0.5 mile away. Our dog gets fetch time multiple times a day (spoils of being at home all the time), and he also gets a walk twice a day. Doggie door is available, as well as an custom on/off ramp to help smaller or older pups get through the doorstep on their own (we built it for our 13 yr old Gizmo). No stairs at home, all laminate floors (runners available for wobbly seniors) and our dog is allowed on furniture. We trained him that he’s only allowed on the couch when “his” blanket is laid out - we’ll be happy to teach your dog the same if you like! Our pit mix grew up with two older dogs; he is full of energy and very toy-motivated. He doesn’t know when other dogs are giving him a “back off” warning so please no dogs that have a history of anxiety (or aggression) around other animals - he simply may not recognize the “leave me alone” signals. He is on a raw food diet, so we wouldn’t be able to accommodate dogs that need their food out at all times - we can do frequent offerings instead. No cats.
