I've been a consistent dog parent since I was ten years old, but what makes me qualified to take great care of yours is more likely to be my experiences outside of my own home. When I was 15 I visited the county shelter and hated what I saw. I looked into volunteering for a handful of shelters and rescues, taking any orientation and training class they offered, and ultimately started my own small rescue and lost/found program as a high school project. During its height, my rescue had around 15 volunteers and 6 foster homes. We took in primarily found strays, exhausted resources to locate owners, and found suitable homes when needed. My high school offered animal care and vet tech classes and we used the opportunity for hands-on learning. When we all left for college the rescue project faded away but for a long time I was the go-to person for any kind of pet advice. I began pet sitting and house sitting and have been doing so for the past 10 years. In the mean time I went to school for fine art photography and am now a part time professional photographer. Pets are my favorite subject to photograph. I think one of the biggest draws of hiring me as your pet sitter is that it almost always comes paired with awesome pet pictures.
