About us Hi! My name is Yulia. My husband Ken and I live in a house with a fenced yard (1/5th acre) in a beautiful, quiet and safe area by Pentagon City/Crystal City just a mile away from DCA. We both grew up with dogs in our family but currently we don't have one, so we appreciate the opportunity to host pups. We are both at home during the daytime taking care of dogs full-time.

Yulia is excellent — she’s a professional dog sitter with secure indoor and outdoor spaces for your pooch. She’s highly responsive, responsible and detail oriented when it comes to instructions and what your dog’s needs are. While we were away, she sent us multiple photos daily that showed our dog running and playing happily with the others. We plan to use her again and recommend her highly.
Ringo had a great time at Yulia and Ken’s, playing with the other dogs at their day camp! They are very attentive to the dogs and sent videos and pictures during the day to let me know how Ringo was doing.

Reservations And Dates Yulia’s Doggy Boarding provides a cozy, in-home environment for your dog. To keep that homey feel and provide a fun and safe environment, we limit the number of dogs staying at any given time. If you know you will need dog care, please make your reservations as soon as possible, especially for major holidays, as we fill up quickly. We know our schedule 3 months ahead for regular dates and 4 months ahead - for big holidays. If we don't know our plans way ahead, we’ll make a note and text you right after our calendar is finalised. Rates are as follows: $60/day (~24h) boarding for one dog; $45 daycare ($5 extra for dogs under 18 months); $25/bath If boarding pickup is more than 4 hours after the drop off time (e.g. you bring your pet on day 1 at 9 am and pick them up at noon or later on the next day), we charge a daycare fee. Major holidays are Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. For these holidays, a minimum 3 night stay is required. Cancellations Since we are booked fully most days, and last-minute cancellations cost someone else a spot, we have to implement a cancellation policy. Cancellation (unless emergency) 7 days or less, will impose a 50% fee. Emergencies are things like sickness, flight cancellations, or other events out of your control.

Drop Off And Pick Up Policies The drop off and pick up times are 7am to 9pm daily. Please text us the approximate times when you have them when booking boardings and daycares. We will not release your dog to anyone other than you unless prior arrangements have been made: please text us the name and the contact number of the person who helps you ahead. Please text us your ETA when you are on your way and once you’ve arrived. If we don’t respond in 2 minutes, please ring the gate bell. Please wait by the front gate till asked to proceed in between gates (it will minimize barking and make the drop off and pick up easier and faster) and make sure the first gate is locked before you take your pet off the leash. Please let us be the only ones who open the second gate to ensure no dogs try to get out. Updates We send photo updates daily in the early afternoon. Please feel free to text us any time to check on your pet.
A typical day
General Health All dogs at Yulia’s Doggy Boarding must be healthy and free of contagious illnesses. For the safety of other guest dogs any pet exhibiting symptoms that suggest illness cannot be boarded. We will provide your dog with any basic medications needed. Please make sure all medications are clearly labelled and dosage instructions are included. If your pet requires special medical care, please reach out so we can discuss and make sure we are able to provide the necessary care. Bedding And Toys Yulia’s Doggy Boarding provides soft dog beds and toys, so unless your pet needs a particular bed or toy, it is recommended you keep their favorites at home: we cannot guarantee that toys left will return in the same condition.

Availability
Screening We host multiple dogs at a time, so it is critically important for prospective dogs to be behaved, not bark excessively and be friendly to other dogs. They can be more social or shy, more energetic or chill - we can adapt their boarding to their needs. In order to ensure the safety and happiness of all our guests, we require that all dogs participate in a meet and greet prior to their boardings. We do this to make sure our environment will be a good fit for your dog, and the home away from home experience will be a fun adventure. Please contact us to set up a time for a 20-minute meeting so that your dog gets familiar with the environment and we can answer any questions you might have. Depending on dog behavior during the meeting, we may request a trial daycare before overnight stay. We only accept unfixed dogs until 6 months - 1 year of age depending on the breed. We are primarily crate-free but are happy to provide crating if your dog is more comfortable in their crate at bedtime. Current vaccination records should be on file for your dog’s stay.
