Isla and Michael, animal lovers in pet free home!

Pet care experience

We have lots of experience walking, visiting and feeding pets as well as caring for them overnight in our own home for friends, family and neighbours, and of course our lovely Rover owners! We have been sitting through Rover since January 2023 and have had dozens of lovely pets stay with us of different ages, temperaments, energy levels and regimes. Of course we are LGBTQIA+ friendly.

We were nervous about leaving Nelly for the first time as she can be quite the handful due to being high energy. We had absolutely nothing to worry about though. Isla had arranged meet and greets on the lead up to her stay which was massively helpful. Isla and Michael were absolutely brilliant with Nelly. We came back to a happy tired dog. The regular updates kept us content knowing she was getting on so well with both of them. We honestly cannot thank them enough!

I was nervous leaving Poppy but Isla and Michael were great and updated me during the day which was very thoughtful. Will be planning another day before I go on holiday. Hopefully Poppy will go for a walk with them this time to the park and get used to the area.

So grateful for the amazing care that Isla and Michael provided. Great to see from the updates and photos that Phoebe and Hunter seemed right at home with them both. Came back from holiday to 2 happy pups :)

We have a small closed back yard for toilet breaks and are walking distance from the Ormeau Park for a bit more exercise. While we are located off a main road we are also close to quiet residential areas for dogs that don't love other animals. We have experience sitting nervous dogs in my home and Isla has given medication to dogs that need it. Our home is very easily accessible by car and bus. By car we are: - 10 minutes from George Best City Airport - 14 minutes from Belfast Docks (Stena Line) - 28 minutes from Belfast International Airport - 6 minutes from the M3 junction at Titanic Quarter We do have a small step to access our home

Information Isla W. would like to know about your pet

We like to know where your pet usually sleeps at night, what they're like on walks (especially when they see other dogs, or the dreaded cats!), and how often/how much they get fed. It's also necessary to be told if they need any medication before we accept a booking! If you think it's important, please let us know of their temperament for example if they're nervous or very boisterous. This is all great to know so we can make sure we're a good match for your pet and can give them what they need! We can make almost anything work!

A typical day

When we're both working the dogs get run of the house! They can sit with whoever they want to, get regular toilet breaks and we play with them on demand. In the evenings we tend to eat our dinner, take them for a walk (usually 45 mins to an hour) and then feed them when we get home. There's plenty of time in the day for mental stimulation too and we're always happy to feed dogs with slow bowls, snuffle mats and lick mats to keep their brains engaged! On the weekend we can take the dogs for slightly longer walks and give them our undivided attention, if you have any special requests let us know!
